Cold and windy to start with with clouds, developed into sunny with a Grrek island wind...I picked up an automatic vent opener from someone but no screws came with it so I don't suppose an of you know where I can get them online? Also picked up a smaller waterbutt to put behind the greenhouse. I don't fancy playing bucket empty tetris again, my shoes haven't dried out yet.I did a swap of a sweet potato for a salvia, hopefully th slugs don't munch it.I saw a baby wildflower patch this morning but that is fabulous Farway..Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi6

Got a few catterpillars off my meager brassicas and put them out for the birds.Sprayed the beans with the hose to get rid of the blackfly.Ate some strawberries that somehow grew despite the drought and they were double tasty. There's shelves and puffs of black cloud with the little puffs that Blue photographed. Still not really raining.

Do you want to get me into trouble? I can do that myself!
Will look into it.
Up early and we've had good, steady rain. Looking at the thunder & lightning app, I think Farway has probably woken early too!

Ooh Farway now that's a wild flower meadow - I want that one! Good that you had a dry day for it too
Sorry taff I don't know where you'd get screws... do they have to be those specific ones or would any the right size do the job? Or actually would it be easier to just buy another vent thing so you've got all the bits?
Looking at the weather for today there's a good big rain cloud moving up the whole country :applause: The drunkards say 30% chance of an hours rain at lunchtime, the other one (sobers?) say it'll rain from 1000-1500 ish so we'll see who's right. If either!
Lovely and cool and breezy here now, humidity's kinda high though. There's hardly a breath out there
Need to get me erse in gear and go food shopping in case the rain does come. I don't wanna end up in Morries again - poor value for too much money imo.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.3 -

I'll have to ask the Rosemoor lot where their poppies and cornflowers went! That'll be along with the other question, regarding why 250ml of flavoured water costs £2.80.
The much-needed rain here has stopped, and it doesn't look like we'll have any more after a possible downpour in the middle of tomorrow. There's loads of greenhouse companies on-line, taff, each doing parts for their products, including fixings. The key is knowing whose product the vent was. For example: https://greenhouses.com/halls-greenhouse-spare-parts/g/23468Looking at prices, it's flavoured water territory, though!Much as I like the polytunnel for sheer size , if we ever come into serious money, I'll have a wooden greenhouse again.

Well they were both wrong. By the time I set off there were a few drippy drops of rain, then sat in a little traffic jam (why don't people know how to behave with ambulances?!) so when I got to Lidl it was persisting it down!
Lucky really cos all the plants that seemed to jump into my trolley were dry as a bone so they're all sat outside the back door nowMust be something the matter with the trolleys and baskets I lift cos the same thing happened to me in B+M, and I only went in for hoover bags ha haa!
