Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Second that, sure is a big one D and is that your "friend" holding it? 😘
Weather is lethal here right now. Very very strong winds and some rain along with it. Hopefully just a load of leaves on the ground tomorrow and not our TV aerial!Just my opinion, no offence 🐈2 -
Here it's been very cloudy and still, just about dried a line full of jumpers.
Dave, that puffball is about the same size as the wasps nest in my shed - but I'll not be taking a photo 'till the wasps have gone, still very active. On Sunday I found a queen mating on the patio. I left them be, I hope she remembers my kindness next summer when choosing where to build her nest.Love living in a village in the country side3 -
No, it's my Dearly Beloved. My friend is somewhat older, being of my generation when 'My Generation' was about our generation, if you see what I mean.Black_Cat2 said:Second that, sure is a big one D and is that your "friend" holding it? 😘

I was hugelii disappointed, having had it for about 15 years. The moral is simple; either get rich, or take lots of cuttings. I imagine Hill House Nursery down south of here will have a replacement, at a price.

Wow D... how depressing lol... *makes note to self to never ask him about this again* 🙀
Seriously though that's very sad, especially it being a mature plant and all. Look on the bright side though, it had outlasted many people's marriages, which is saying something these days!Just my opinion, no offence 🐈2 -
I'm not that sad about the plant; it's just in the background of the picture and looking good. Plants often don't last long, which as a seller of plants for a long time, has usually worked to my advantage.
People browsing our stall in the old days would look for about 10-15 minutes, sigh and then say, "I'd buy some of these, but alas there's no room in my garden."My reply was always the same: "Well, we can always hope for a hard winter!"Dearly Beloved wasn't really keen on letting me me serve customers!

Went to Rosemoor today. Weather co-operated.
Couldn't resist taking a photo of these two. As soon as I saw them, I knew what they'd be saying:

I was impressed by it! Hadn't a clue what it was but it made me wonder what country the photo was taken in, as I'm not used to seeing anything flowering like that at the same time as puffballs are getting big.Davesnave said:I'm disappointed no one has commented on my Alyogyne hugelii yet.....but i can wait!1
