Glad you made it to Rosemoor, if you had similar weather to us it was nice, unlike this morning, wet & drizzle but now sun's out
Of course muggins decided to go for a walk just before the rain started and getting home after it finished with the wet bits while walking :(
It is Friday 13th so fitted in well
I did spot some toadstools which would've made a nice picture but they were up a grassy knoll and we all know what happens near grassy knolls ;)   so I passed on that with the wet grass and my wobbly balance
Maybe I'll catch them tomorrow if still there
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens

Weather stayed fine despite the forecasters hedging their bets. B) We were only there for a <2 hour window, as DB can't walk all of it, thanks to current lack of NHS support for her condition. I was also under par with the awful toothache I'm having, waiting for my dental appt in a week's time. :s  I took some whisky with me and it was all gone by the end, so it's a wonder the photos came  out OK! I'll post a few over the next day or three.
  • Sounds like you guys have had a mixed bag when it comes to the last couple of days.  Sorry to hear you're suffering from toothache D, sounds awful.  Pic is, as usual, outstanding! 😸

Would love to see those toadstools F but not if it means being sniped!  😉

Pics cheer me up and I hope they do for others who might happen to visit this thread aswell.  Bit of a depressing day here, overcast but dry, chance of a shower or two later.  Weekend forecast to be a rainy affair so might be stuck inside again 🐈
Just my opinion, no offence 🐈

Dave, have you tried pouring whiskey over a cotton wool ball/ sterile gauze and then placing it in the mouth next to the tooth. It might not be as much fun as drinking the bottle though :). Also a cold compress held against the face can help some people. Last year my husband had an abscess and he said he felt so ill he felt like jumping out the bedroom window - luckily it didn't come to that :).

Thanks for the cotton wool ball idea. :)  To be honest, the most effective way to control the pain was suggested by my dentist: it's just putting a blob of Sensodyne toothpaste into the hole! However, after a few days and nights of toothpaste, I'm fed up with the taste. :|
I can believe toothache is potentially one of the worst pains possible, but mine is mostly controllable to some degree and I'm not at the jumping out the window stage yet! :o
Thank for the kind comment BC2. Picture was shot on automatic and only tweaked a bit later in my photo program. Very handy to clone-out labels and people stuff you can't always avoid in public gardens! :D

    Morning Campers 🖐☔🌧 🍂🍂
Unseasonably mild here in Somerset, jeans and tee shirts and still too warm !

It's been a mad-busy week, workwise, so this weekend will be a, mostly, relaxing one but if the weather perks up i might get out there to potter 🌳🌺🌹

D, your A H going must have been sad, i love all in this genus 🌺🌺🌸

    🍂🍂 Happy gardening peeps 👍🌱

Two things that I have found help with toothache.  Firstly caffeine helps potentiate paracetamol, so taking painkillers along with a strong black coffee helps.  You could also try rubbing an ice cube on the skin in the cleft between your thumb and fore-finger - I'm not normally one for faith-healing hokum, but I've had success with this one.
  • Morning C, hasn't stopped raining here so no gardening for me, hope you get a chance this weekend in your neck of the woods 👍  Forecast is still looking wet and windy here.

CaE and A make great suggestions for toothache.  I'm noting them down incase (heaven forbid) this happens to me or my family.  Maybe a combination of them would work - take a small amount of sensodyne mixed with whiskey and apply to the tooth with a cotton ball bud, meanwhile chew on paracetamol on the other side of your mouth whilst pressing an ice cube into your hand.  Finish with an extra strong coffee when you find none of the above has worked lol 😁

BC2, good suggestion.  But having a certain geographical bias, I would only agree if we can take the 'e' out of the whisk(e)y!
