Just refreshed to see Farway's post (BTW I'm just copying and post/pasting relevant bits then turning it into a quote by clicking on the little symbol that follows you down the left hand side of the page when typing),
Well I never, that works. Cheers Less

Mrs Dusty is a star ⭐️ I realize how lucky I was having my mum around when my 2 were little. I feel so sorry for those without family to help out, 1 of the girls was saying it’s going to cost £200 a week when her new hrs kick in, just for before and after school clubs. Her hubby works shifts. Not worth her coming in tbh.
Good news on responsibility for the elms Dusty.
Less hope you’re feeling better.
2p hope the curtains have a lovely landscape on them . It’s sad that so many houses have paved over gardens and have huge cars blocking the windows .
YBE I certainly don’t know how to strike out on my keyboard. I did a post on Teams at work and spotted an underline feature so underlined the first bit but then couldn’t turn it off 😂 to say part of my job is admin is a joke, not only because I don’t get to do it much, but because I’ve no clue how computers work . I know what I need to know then the rest is a minefield.
Been to town it’s a freezing cold wind, feels like minus three it says 🥶

Healthy looking plants Less, much better than mine.
And Dusty's hellebores. Mine are showing signs of decline. Put them in a pot because they got too dry. Now their sodden and don't like that either.
Did you see the coast path prog on BBC tonight? What did you think of it?
I'll have a worlds wetlands day Bluey. We have a lot around here and the Avalon marshes. Perhaps I'll make a day or two of those for a change and go bird watching.
Wort don't get me started on cars and how we're destroying the planet. I could rant for hours 😠
Farway you didn't get all the rain. It's been raining all day, thick mist and cloud down to your ankles. Cold too 🥶. And taking 50mins to do a 15min journey twice today did not improve things.
Tomorrow is another day. They say it won't rain in the morning 🤞
BTW this is a field where usually sheep graze 🤨
And seems we've lost the ability to resize the photos now 😐️ but strikeout and bold are back!

Morning all. Running late this morning, I was wide awake waiting for my alarm to go off, then turned it off and dozed! Not like me at all.
Less you're prolly right about the Feels Like differences. If we weren't all out without our Big Coats on it'd feel like the real Feels Like ha haa!
I can only do bold and italics on my keyboard wort, laptop keyboard I mean. Ctrl+B = bold, and Ctrl+I = italics. Press the combo again to go back to normal. Ctrl+S isn't Strikeout it's Save, that's why I asked about that one. But highlighting the word brings up a tiny wee menu and you can click
Son there. Credit to Farway for that one.Raining here and has been since last night I think. Well it was raining when I went to bed and there's enough water out there to suggest it's been non-stop. Milder though, FL is -2, mostly cos that wind's dropped a bit. Harking back now, but who was it said the nights are getting lighter - I deffo agree, there's a bit of a stretch in it now

She can't do more than a day a week, being in exactly the opposite direction from work, but I bet she would otherwise.🙂 He's pretty easy. We stuck him in his chair in the conservatory, and he was happy for 30 mins on his own, just watching the birds.😎

I don't think hellebores are happy in pots unless they're those vast stone ones, and in soil, not compost. They put up with dry more than wet, too. Missed the Coast Path. Too tied-up with other things 😟, but I can usually find a YouTube of the places we want to visit. It won't be anywhere like that at present anyway, with the state of things. Maybe a leisurely stroll. 😘
Your flooded field picture is very atmospheric, as are Less's bedraggled flowers. I have a couple of mine to add to the 'wet and battered' collection:
OT: It's still raining here, and there's a brisk wind with a feel like of 4c. Nevertheless, if I can fire up the old van, I'll take the drunks at their word and go in search of the promised sunshine…. Never mind bum disposal, I really need to shift mine and have a break from the Dead Printer Society and convoluted quiz questions! 😵

It's my dry day, with some sunshine, not raining, yet, anyway. And World Cancer day as well.
YBE said Farway bum disposal squad is behind a paywall :(
That's odd, not paywall AFAIK, it's the Daily wail online. long story short and being polite, French bloke sticks a live eight inch ex WW1 artillery shell, up his bum, as you do 🤣, and finishes up in A & E. The shell is live so they call bomb disposal etc, hence the Bum Squad
If you search on the French bloke bit you will find it everywhere, how to become famous for the wrong reasons. PS, hope for us yet Dusty, seems he is 88 years old. 😁 Explain that to the DGC.! " I was going to the loo in the middle of the night when I slipped over in the dark"
Nice atmospheric wet pic 2P and some soggy flowers
Gardening completed, sown eight Sutton broad beans on damp kitchen paper, enough to give me a taster.

Hello everyone,
I have caught up on everyone's posts this week - the 723 days of January - all without a break have officially ended and I can breathe a little.
I had an unexpected trip to Liverp00l to take some furniture over to my daughter's new place. On the Sunday I took Rome0 for a walk around the Cathedral and there were real signs of Spring! I was thrilled. As I walked there was the most gorgeous smell and it was coming from these Mahonia (I think they are). Real showstoppers and I don't think I knew they smelled so good.
Seeing these snowdrops made me think I should dig some into my woodland area at the bottom of the garden. Note made for later in the year!!
I hope you have got your curtains sorted 2P - I have a great view from my bedroom window and I love sitting there and scanning the sky and river beyond - the front is just the head of the cul de sac so is rather dull. Nothing much ever happens to be fair. Hopefully you'll make a decision about moving when you see your perfect house in ideal location.
I've loved all the Haggis talk!
I'm going to dash as it has taken me literally all day to write this little post! Hopefully I'll be quieter tomorrow.

Broadbeans Farway? I seem to remember you saying……………..☺️
Bluey, how you holding up about having to retrain someone else? The pits init. But they must hold you in high regard to trust you with the job. Hmmm How high? Payrise high 😉 I got the same thing back in the day. Not much you can do but 'tutt' loudly and often and within the bosses hearing.
Dusty love how you've got the raindrops on the flowers. So pretty.
WM I fell in love with Mahonia until I considered pruning those spikey leaves. Best to enjoy someone elses and leave the work to them.
Dryish all day today so I wizzed around and got chores done then went out photographing and it was actually sunny. Shame about the east wind. I was going to post some snowdrops but I can't match Dustys so have this little fellow instead. He was fishing in that little spot for ages and there was no one around so I sat and enjoyed.
Spring is on it's way - yippee!! Snowdrops everywhere and the geese are back waiting for the weather to improve. Ducks flirting. It's definitely in the air.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Morning all, 6 Nations starts tonight 👏
Farway I guessed that was the gist of the bum disposal squad story, but carrying on like that at 88 😶 There's nowt so queer as folk eh. Yep me and BBM have got the measure of each other. I think he thinks I'm a tonic cos everyone else tiptoes round him and wouldn't say boo to him…
Dusty how did your birthday celebration go? Gawd your snowdrops look sorrowful, but the crocuses/crocii (?) look promising 😊
Wm hopefully daughter settles nicely in her new pad. Don't bother shelling out year after year for snowdrop bulbs if you've got squirrels sigh grrr 😠
What month are we up to on our calendar? Yours needs to be in there 2p nodding Bet it makes it to the front page here too 🤩 Tra ining hasn't started yet but I'll do it with good grace and almost no sarcastic comments. (I'm actually looking round for another job, I'm only for jumping ship when I get another one.)
OT Well they've all decided to stick on their forecast, in a Stopped Clock kinda way. Maybe I'll stop saying Feels Like and replace it with With Coat/Without Coat.
BBC and Weather&Radar - With Coat
Sobers - Without Coat -
Christ! Size of them! I'll have to learn that another time cos I need to shift now.
One last thing - short-fingered vulgarian. I can offer no elaboration cos we're not allowed to talk politics 🤐
