YBE the difference between feels like , I would liken to the difference I feel it is and Dgs feels it is. Still dressing in shorts and t.shirt.
Great photo 2p , and those raindrops on the flowers Dusty 😍 WM I had Mahonia it smells nice but as 2p says very prickly ,had to take mine out, ok if you wish to deter people though.
The weathers got me looking at holidays, have to have something to look forward to.
The wind started up last night and it’s still gusting out there.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.6 -
I lost my post, trying to edit it. 😫 I've a prescription to deliver, so no time to retype now. However, went to Rosemoor yesterday, and although there were two downpours, the sun put in an appearance and gave me the chance of some decent photos. 😃
Here's one from the earlier post; probably the most fragrant plant we saw.😏
OT: Sunshine and showers, becoming heavy rain. Mild. Could be worse, though….. Might plant some seeds later. 😁

I'd drive down that way if I could but it's dark and wet here all day plus for a week or so and roads are flooded and endless road works.
So I'm pretty sure that gardening is off the agenda.
It's been like this for a couple of months now and making people very grumpy.
Mild 8c though which is just as well because I've had to open the window after just cooking for 10mins. ☹️ . Don't think there's much chance of photos either.

Back to rain, yellow warning as well. I think that must be linked to the ground being so soggy it can take no more & so floods. Just dark, wet & gloomy
2P says Broadbeans Farway? I seem to remember you saying……………..☺️
Yeh, I know 🤥, but the gloom got me down & I had to do something garden related, then I spotted a space in the tubs at the front and Robert's your Aunt's Hubby. The beans are not swelling yet, but not rotted either so on a winner at the moment
I'd like snowdrops to, but seeing the squirrel warning obviously not suitable for my garden
Another lover of mahonia scent, another scent that drifts is Witch hazel, it hangs heavy at Wisley this time of year, always fancied growing some but no room & needs a larger garden, one of those shrubs, like forsythia, good for a couple of weeks, then just drab green
Supposed to be useful home remedy plant, this is not health advice or suggestion. but said to be good for haemorrhoids, so perhaps you could stick it up your bum 😂 Joke, do not try this at home !
Wort said I would liken to the difference I feel it is and Dgs feels it is. Still dressing in shorts and t.shirt.
My youngest DGD is like that, must have anti freeze for blood. We're dressed like Nanook of the North and DGD is in a T shirt
YBE said One last thing - short-fingered vulgarian. I can offer no elaboration
I had to look it up, yep, got it
It's stopped raining, if it brightens a bit I may try and squelch into the garden to see if any decent damp looking photos are to be had

That makes a lot more sense now I'm not reading that as dogs…🙄
OT - what I said before about one good day …lovely sun yesterday, (albeit with chilly east wind), today back to drizzle, rain and more wind…😒
But, as @2P suggested, one good day can make it feel like sXXXXg is approaching…🙂

Thanks for the explanation Farway, I have just told someone on the daily thread how to d
oit.. :)Wort, my cousins son it the same, only when it's really cold, like minus figures, does he swop from a t !!!!!! and shorts to trousers and long sleeves.
Lovely Daphne Dusty and the raindrops on kittens :)
Your ladybirds are cute ybe. I found some under the rope holding the side of the compost bin on, so I added some more rope to shelter them a bit more. Middle aged wisdom? Did you slap him?
What flowers were those Less? with green petals?
Lovely shot 2p, love the trunks framing too, such a lovely clean white too.
There's just rain in my past and future, so nothing doing gardening wise although I have seen I've put the two camellias too close together out the front so one has to come out. They were in pots though so they won't have put much root on. And I moved some mores stones from one place in the back garden to another. I also lost my large garden Lidl bag. I chucked it over the fence before I went to Wales last weekend and the wind caught it and flipped it out. OH, being completely unlike me, saw it and didn't know whose it was so he left it to blow away. If I'd seen anything like that I'd have had it away..oh well…thems the advantages of being brought up by a bit of a Del boy…

Same here, it's dry at the moment but V'sky shows great clump over Dorset & on it's way. Puts paid to any gardening or even squelching about.
I do need to get out & put the apple tree back upright, the one I put into a new pot the other week. With the fresh compost the supporting stick is not yet firmed up. I think I may need to

Lost my post again today. I'd saved, but must've mis keyed and pressed 'back,' or something. Anyway, it's gone.😣
In it, I welcomed WM back to the fold 😀, and praised 2p's egret photo, which was brill. 😇 Can't remember what else, but there were some more Rosemoor photos. There won't be now, not today. Looking at site feedback, the new format isn't going down a storm, but like other things, ex-Forum, nothing will change unless people vote with their feet.
So…..sorry, I'm not re-posting. I've just had an hour over on YouTube instead, where I don't have to self-censor either. 😛
OT: Wet again. Promises of better later, but that's universal, innit?

Winter aconite - the green bits are actually the leaves, the yellow are unopened flower buds - will try to get a pic when (if!) they open (needs sun…😕)…

More rain. Heavy at times. Floods on the road.
But it was 9c, positively sultry.
Only plant related was downloading plantnet and wondering how I get to a house on a narrow road that has white star-like flowers most of the year. Grows on little pompom shaped plants. Thought it was whatjamacallit but it's not. Looks like a good one to have.
And was watching Montys 80 gardens last night. The Moroccan one with all useful trees. If I get another garden (without all the drains I have to avoid) I think that's the route I'll take.
