For those with a photographic inclination there are 3 pages of wildlife photos on the BBC news website.

This is my favourite as it has a few chuckles and some things you didn't know
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5ypn8jz9q7o

    Enjoy

Edit, for our wild swimmer, there's a TV programme Wednesdays about wild swimming on the Scottish isles 🙂

  • Some pics - I keep taking ones intending to post, then spend all my available time catching up on everyone else's posts and no time to post myself...

This was from several weeks ago...there are some wind turbines in the distance somewhere, but darned if I can find them now....

On the same day was surprised to see this... then looked at holly at home and realised it was in berry too... not sure if this is normal...

Hmm not loading pic, will try another post...
  • Hmm, was more to come but website playing up... second try at invisible wind turbines on recent trip to seaside... giving up, having same probs as 2P this morning I think....

    Gorgeous photos Less 🙂
Love the above the cloud one. We get that here on Exmoor.
Also grateful for the sight of blue sky....... it's been a while of gloomy grey here while I see sunshine in Wales. I'll have to get a boat.

Morning all, on World Bread Day :)

Taff I agree with 2p - there's definitely an opening in the market for Boob+. Reminds me of a prog I watched a few years ago about Liz Taylor, she was up on a stage in her wheelchair, accepting an award for something maybe..? talking about how she set up some sort of Aids Foundation (stoopid brain has forgotten what it was exactly). From memory, she'd had a close friend die of Aids in the 80's but realised there was no help or support out there for folks still going through it. In her own words to herself she said - "Biitch! Do it yourself!" So she did :)

According to the weatherman last night we're to be getting a change in the wind soon 2p, finally. It'll also bring rain and low temps with it but at least this staleness will move on  What side was the wild swimming prog on? That sounds worth the watch

The commenters on some of those stories would fit in here rightly Farway  They do make me chuckle in the mornings. I D'Duck'd Norfolk Enchants after I'd said it, I can't believe that was 20 years ago :o I don't know what those Wayne Rooney stories were about, jumping on the bandwagon I reckon. I hope your last volunteer meeting goes alright, an end of an era really eh. It's a cliched line but it really is their loss to lose you all. They'll realise when it's too late, no doubt.

Ooh Dusty your dahlias are gorgeous rich colour  How did your neighbourly meeting go (dare I ask)?

Gawd Less you say nowt for ages then pop up with 2 absolute cracker pics  I'd have your first one as a screensaver or summat, that is properly Autumnal. Love it.

OT well the weather out there is still the same - cool damp still cloudy - but I think yesterday the murk lifted into a whiter shade of murk, possibly. The temps here are between 10'c - 13'c ish day and night, jeez I'm ready for some variety now *sigh* Well I'm saying that now but I bet I'll be sorry when I get it ha haa!
Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.

Like night again this morning 😕
Still hovering around 7c but without the wind it feels better.
Us soft southerners aren't used to this.
Perhaps the world is turning upside down. We'll have polar bears moving here soon.🐻‍❄️

Wild swimming BBC 2, Scotland and iPlayer. Not a brilliant watch but better than hospitals, police and factories which seems the staples these days
