Slightly delayed this morning, I fell down the AI well, now my free credit has expired until later so here I am!

The flu-like has just about gone, left with froggy froat, not painful, just froggy.

I read this morning TV co's have had to resort to fake crowd cheers now, seems the rotters in the crowd chant nasty words about our Dear leader's alleged habits 

They used to say the Queen thought the world smelt of fresh paint, goodness knows what Dear Leader thinks when the chanting starts

Tried one of my Santana apples, first time, the rats had them last year  :'( 

I pronounce them a Cracker, lovely, but odd and nice sort of perfumed taste, crisp, juicy etc, 

If you see some on sale, do sample them

Well would you believe it, more gloom.
More a white gloom which is slightly better.
Bit of a northerly breeze so I've put some washing out.

Watered some plants, guess that's going to happen again today.
Tomorrow I may go to a garden centre and see what reduced plants they have but I don't need any more work what with lack of rain.

May get on with some clearing up but it seems a bit early or late to be cutting back stuff that has rambled during the drought.

Got to try and get a handyman, heating engineer and buyer of odd furniture. I keep putting it off because it's depressing and hard work trying to get trades.
So I'll nip up the coast and see if the weather is better there. For sure it won't be as lovely as Poppys photo. How lovely to look at that 🙂

I expect dear Leader maybe thinks back to the good old days of politics, when Roy Jenkins spoke about 'rancour' in his inimitable manner. There's a lot of it about!

The wild swim was agreed to after a couple of glasses of wine 😂 DH had a wee paddle this morning and his feet were bright red after 😂 we’re off to the wild swim beach this afternoon…

We were very lucky to see this plane landing on the beach this morning 😍 unfortunately we were still in the car at the time because the plane arrived about 20 minutes earlier than expected so we didn’t get a video 🙄 saw it take off again though - definitely a WOW moment…

I snuck off to Wales for my sisters birthday to surprise her,she was surprised, I did good...I press thanks to show I read something and that I'm both still alive and the post was a nice sharing thing...That's an excellent david and goliath photo in Whitby love the bin sign...I can't say what mine is but certified is one of them...

I can believe the airport stuff...I got frisked by an unsmiling harridan, who changed to all smiles [embarassed ones] as soon as she realised what she was feeling up, nothing on one side, a bump on the other, it's amazing what a difference it akes sometimes...

I've missed lots, but saw WM has reappeared, after all that work I can see why she disappeared, must have been exhausting.

Weather has been rubbish since Sunday evening, grey, drizzly on and off, no sun at all, whereas Sunday moring and afternoon in Wales was glorious 23 degree temperature sunshine...

I have been checking the green waste skip and removing things for my second dead hedge but one of my ten dahlias for postage TM bargains has started floweing and it is a definite winner....6 inches across. I have got a better more proper pic but then you can't see the volunteer tomatoes and sweet peas that started growing after the sun went...stupid plants...btw, those white solar lights have lasted for five years so far.....

Morning all, on "search - Autumn puddings" day. Hmm they ran out already. Maybe they're waiting for AI to give them the next one but Farway has it fully occupied ha haa! 

Bad day at work yesterday and a poor night's sleep on the back of it so a short post today.

Speaking of names having to change because of translations - and I can't remember where I got this from, but anyway - who remembers when the cream cleaner now known as Cif was called Jif? Apparently Jif in spanish is what ermmm very happy fellahs produce in certain circumstances so they changed it to Cif which doesn't mean anything in any language. But sometimes they get through the censor, years ago I used to back a horse called Norfolk Enchants (brilliant). It never made me a squillionaire but I only backed it for the fun of it's name. 

Did you find anything worth having at the Oh and a few plants centre 2p? Hopefully you found better weather up the coast

OT cool dark damp still etc out there, I'm ready for this weather system to shove off now. It's all feeling a bit stale and we need a good breeze to freshen the place up

No ybe none of the above. I had breast cancer a few years ago and don't bother wearing a fake one most of the time, the scar cuts right across where a proper bra would lie, so baggy tops is me...I always used to say I'd get a fake one when they made it into a wine carrier or if I had a searchlight there I could do mountain rescue...Alas, no one has invented these things yet. 

Weather is cold, grey, drizzly, more of the same, but maybe a short trip out is on the cards...The allotment is beginning to come together. Pics maybe after....

Those comments...I did have a chuckle, but I also see red squirrels are making a comeback in Ireland....can we have some pine martens here too please?

I don't know about wild swimming I'm trying to get myself out of my pit because I have an enormous mug of tea and a good book and it's dark like night time out there.

Depends on how one pronounces it, I would've thought they have led very sheltered lives if no one around the table didn't clutch pearls when it was decided to name the cleaner after a colloquial term for a STD

No gardening today, the thing I want get on with is my pyracantha, but I'm still waiting on the birds to scoff the berries

I may be MIA tomorrow, need some shopping, so Morries it is, maybe find some wallflowers without a Norway Air boarding pass?

Then it's my final volunteer meeting, my fellow volunteer gardeners are also hanging up their trowels.  

It worked out fine in the end, all of us have health troubles and tending the borders was getting harder, for instance none of us could bend to weed any more
