Thanks for all the kind comments 🙂
I've applied to a local doctors surgery but no idea if I'll get in. Don't know who is in charge of me if anyone or what happens next so it's business as usual. Stagger on doing a bit of something daily.
Mostly clearing up and organising. Drives me potty only doing a bit at a time but it's probably good discipline 😬

Not a lot to report, we now have rain every day and it's darn chilly.
I did buy 2 cyclamen and plan to plant them in a pot to spread. Have sprouted potatoes on the doorstep waiting to go in a space.
Almost time to move the purple heucheras into a pot as they suffer in the heat and will replace with eriginon as that needs no attention.

Seeing that reminds me that I've harvested no herbs this year but they are still alive so small mercies 😉

The planning is because I can't garden much now so easy care.
So tempted by a blue ceramic pot to go near my front blue bench but I still have too many big pots as it is 😁

Love that sunset Poppy. I could look at that for hours!
So lucky to have a scene like that outside your house. The last one especially a goer. How's the neighbour doing? Mines not speaking to me.

Wort you remind me of me years ago. Did all those things as well as work and loved it. Funny, even when you retire you still cram things in when you can.

Dusty, like the clouds. We had spectacular ones too and I was hoping to photograph some but by the time I'd done the shop they'd gone just grey. Darn.

Farway your garden is so interesting and you've inspired me to start cuttings again. Wel that and the prices of plants 😁

Less, I tried for a photograph your way but a haze came down. Before that, so clear the mountains.

Waiting for rain this afternoon. So just chores this morning while I'm in the mood

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Bean pods? Took me a while to realise yous meant the church cos the wisteria does have bean pods things but they ain't that big

Speaking of fragrances and dangly bits - the only fake smell I have in my house is the loo fresher thing. It's 'lime' and my god it smells lovely. A lot of them now are too sweet, even stuff like washing up liquid fgs  *sigh*

Gawd that's some sunset pp, I can almost smell it  Rottery Acres needs to have a view like that... actually it needs to be on a peninsula or up a mountain or something so we get sunrises and sunsets *nodding*

Dusty your filbert bowl is the same colour as my front door ha haa! Woohoo that the stream is running again, but it'll give Mr Canute something else to worry about no doubt. You'll have to keep that van now mind, it's a sign!

I'll scratch a filbert tree off my list then I think Farway, them squirrels have enough to be going on with and I’ve no room in my conservatory for another tree :grimace: I’ve still full boxes of …stuff… from moving in in there. Odd you've got big toms come up - I wonder if #Shawshank gene has mutated into 'I'll grow if I want and what I want..? That's a fab Beam Me Up Snotty pic, I'd have that as a screensaver or summat.

2p if you could be cured by good wishes you'd never have another thing wrong with you your whole life. Your heuchera looks in better shape than mine... are you putting the pot in the shade or watering it more or what's the diagnosis? I almost daren't ask but why isn't our neighbour speaking to you? Have you had enough and shot her ignorant prique of a son? #NoJudgement

Up early, again. Think I 'ave got lurgy. I've coughed and spluttered and coughed some more 'til my throat's that sore I got up for a cool drink of water and just stayed up :( There'd better be no morons at work today or they're gonna get it both barrels :grimace: Might start with the Eco Worrier cos they is getting on my teets - she started on about the plastic the phones are made of yesterday, and without thinking I said "you should look for a job on a Greenpeace ship, you'd be more at home". Evidently that is "offensive" "abrasive" and "derogatory" and very much Not Allowed

Anyway. Anyone looking for something to watch, I can recommend the Aunty's thing about the Piper Alpha disaster. Only 3 x 1hr progs and it was that good I sat this morning and watched them back to back. Not overly dramatic and the reconstructions are believable. Worth a watch :)

OT yesterday was lovely, pleasant warmth and quite sunny all day. Today is a bit showery/rainy this aft/evening and a Feels Like high of 15'c, they say. I'm getting my hair cut after work tonight so it'll lash down then, you watch.

Woo Hoo, after me whining about not raining it has been steadily raining for over three hours now, watering job saved.

Filberts, must admit I'm having second thoughts, but the dangly bits are lovely, so I'll carry on for now.
My toms, very odd, discovered some more hiding yesterday, now the nasturtiums have more or less been eaten by the caterpillars, lurking toms can be spotted.
My Beam pic, I confess I did submit it to Southern Beeb on the day in 2013 & it was used as their weather pic for the forecast. No money, just a mench on local tele.

The Eco person sounds a pain, presumably no sense of awareness, or maybe all the younger ones talk that?
Can't say I've noticed my grandchildren doing so, but maybe they know their grumpy grandad well enough to keep lips buttoned.
How does "they" square having a mobile phone containing rare earths mined by children? Too abrasive?

Hope your froat sorts itself, Not medical advice, but sucking some Fishermen's Friends may be good for a few naughty giggles, or the sack  >:)

With my wilting foxgloves I had a thought, have vine weevils returned?  :o
Don't tell They, but I released toxic fluids onto them yesterday, some Jeyes Fluid that I was cleaning the steps with spilt into the flower tubs.
After this rain it may have become more diluted, but could've lethally moistened them there weevils, have to wait & see.

No gardening with the rain, may get horizontal GW in later

No squirrels in our garden, thanks to resident cats and the distance they'd have to travel over clear ground, so the filberts are fine. :)  Our productive tree is 'Cosford Cob,' but it's produced less this year than last. The situation in the orchard is uncertain; we had no walnuts last year when the squirrels saw how many there were. Normally, they don't risk it.  :'( This year, not so many, but will they remember, check them out and think, “Well we're here now, might as well nick them!” ?  :|
I thought my thundercloud was a good shot, but then I saw your sunset, pp.  o:) Good to know God was shining a favourable light on Portsmouth too, Farway, albeit in 2013. Let's hope it's still in favour.  B)
Well, it didn't rain so intensely here yesterday, so I managed to get the rest of our first tipper load of logs into the barn while dry. I had to cover them with a tarpaulin on Monday when things became lively! About half the logs our guy supplies need splitting again, so it's a good work-out too. We could have them smaller, or even kiln dried, but the price!!!  :#  A winter's worth of logs for £380 isn't bad when added to our own.
The stream only ran for half a day, which didn't surprise me, as the land's still ready to soak up much more wetness. I was surprised by the colour, though!  :o  With grass and sheep on the surrounding hills, instead of ploughing and then maize, I'd anticipated something cleaner. However, our other neighbour with the 'throne' had the stream bed dug out when he took possession, and I'd guess a lot of the mud came from his bit. I doubt if he'll go to the same trouble again, especially as the stream's never flooded or needed 'helping.'  Right now, much of our clean, stony stream has a layer of mud over it, but there's a whole winter to go yet!  ;)
I've booked the van in for an MoT on the strength of that rainbow, Bluey:D Mind you, it's a month in advance, in case I need to 'ditch & switch' early. With a fresh certificate it will be worth  £sensible, and if the investment's too much, it's better driven away, than trailered.  ;)
Watch for those vine weevils if you pot up your Heuchera, 2p. Like the slugs, the adults are moving around here like they own the place just now! I've just purchased more of the chemical remedy, and Evri only took 7 days to deliver it.... :D
Since there's been much talk of apples, I'll share more of mine. We never quite get around to pruning these like you organised folk. Hate to think what would happen if we did. We do a couple in the garden, but the rest are au naturelle. Walking over Barnstaple Bridge last week, I spotted some apples on what's now 'waste' ground, some of them overhanging the pavement. Next to them, were some perfectly acceptable blackberries, too. Thousands of people pass in a week, and no one seems to take advantage.  :'(
OT: Rain this morning again, and brighter this afternoon, with wind. The rain radar looks horrendous, but outside it's calm and quietly drizzling. No sign of swallows this morning, but yesterday I spotted some house martins weaving and swooping in front of the car in a rainstorm! The remainder must go soon.  :*
One benefit of being a 'conspiracy theorist' is having slug pellets that work.

The good wishes are cheering. Friends tend to be more practical as one has bad knees and a husband who's had a back OPP and another with bad knees. Neighbour has cancer and his fingers keep curling up so can't drive. We all seem to be in a pickle 😆
No need to water Bluey, it's been raining here since it stopped being blistering hot 😬
Though when I went to plant potatoes out it's still rock hard 3ft from the fence rain shadow.
The heuchera dark leaves were supposed to look good with the agapanthus purple but it didn't work anyway so theyll move in favour of white pink and blue.

Hope the hair cut goes better than mine. Hairdresser said she couldn't see me for 10weeks so I didn't realise she cut it extra short and 2 days later it's sticking out all over the place.

Neighbour hasn't spoken since I asked son to park other side of us because it put me in pain waking early hours and rolling over, going to the loo. Said now he had a car he liked she wasn't going to do that and couldn't see why it affected me. So I just wait for karma. Don't think she realises that car costs a fortune to service or the engine goes bang . He won't wash it or clean it out so I can't see it being serviced.
I've had problems with her replacing my fence and cats pooing in the garden and urinating on my front door so it's no great loss.

Got loads done yesterday on the house and got potatoes into the ground at last though a hammer and chisel would have been better than a trowel in some places.
I checked out the viburnum and the leaves are still brown but the stalks are green so there's hope.
The pyramid bay is producing new leaves apace. I've resisted the temptation to cut dead leaves off as I hope they are providing shelter for the new ones, much like hydrangeas.

So cold last night the rain must have come straight from the artic! Came close to putting the heating on.
10c out there now and wet. The wind has stopped but the sky is grey.
Will get out there if it cheers up and get rid of those manky beans, put the canes away so I'm not reminded.

Any idea why my cherry tree leaves are curling up?
It's certainly not lack of water 🤔

Sorry it's an awful photo - too wet and cold outside to trot around barefoot.

Oh, a nice range of tomatoes out there. Going to have to be pasta, cheese and tomato sauce tonight as its no longer salad weather. 🙂
The potatoes I put in earlier are growing a treat.
Hoping the recently planted ones will while they're in the mood. May have some for Christmas 🙂

Damn you Dusty, your mentioning that God light reminded me of the Pompey coat of arms motto, "Heaven's Light our Guide"
I could've used that on the pic, grrr.

Ah, vine weevils, I may be right in my diagnoses ref my foxgloves.  Hope your chemical remedy works. Given the cost of it. Way too dear to warrant use on my self sown foxgloves.
