Dusty - there doesn't seem to be an air vent on the tank and I think that might be the issue... so I think I need to lift the 'turf' between the two tanks to see whether there is actually a vent there.

My Cherry is still in Fails stage, the only one I have hope for this year is trusty old Balcony yellow so far, no toms, but has flowers at least

I'm another who thinks Dusty's toilet drain looks lovely with wildflowers.

Cuddles to stinky. Not to worry too much about the setback. My Ben got sand or something in his wound and it went bad. To be avoided obviously but apart from an off day he was fine.

Not a great start today. After my 4.45 wake up call got up 7.30 to see a big rat climbing the bird feeder pole 😬 and ran out throwing stones and water before remembering my nice neighbour still asleep.
Checked the few cherries left and they were gone of course. At least I got 50% which is more than last year.
Next trick was a pigeon decided to nest on my rose arch outside the back door. Now I like pigeons cooing but not right in my ear.
Put the washing out and it's unpredicted drizzling 🫤

So mild, occasionally bright and damp.
Managed to get some pruning done and the bird table cleaned so it's a start.
More watering needed out front. Even the bay trees are wilting.

Hmmm seems I missed half a dozen posts 🤔

Toe seperators Dusty. Fine, your feet, balance feels better but you can't get your shoes on.

I did find I have a plant flowering that I bought about 2yrs ago. Not sure what it is now but hope it's a miniature for where it's planted.
I was admiring huge ones in someone's garden the other day . Not a great photo but you get the idea.


Off to mow the front lawn. Neighbours son must be due his nap now 😈

Never grown them but have admired from afar

50% of cherries is a good score I reckon, until this year mine was about two cherries per year

It's probably of the family Farway. I've seen the real thing in the past and they were amazing. Same height as me or more.
There's some in a garden about half size. Will get a photo eventually. Too tired tonight but it's the envy stakes 🙂
This was a buy from a road side charity stall. Buying tomato plants and this went into the basket as well. 

Yes, the cherries, bright red, sweet and sooo near. Serious cage for next year 😈
It's the trifid sage that gives the rat shelter.

I'm going to put vaseline on the bird feeder pole.

Aside, put vaseline on the stems of dahlia, an inch below the flower to stop earwigs eating them. Worked for me when I grew them. But I haven't seen an earwig for years.

Been on the moors and it's in a cloud. Fascinating.
Cept of course that's drizzle and I've the washing out because it was forecast sunny 😬

I had a lovely walk on the edge of some woodland this afternoon - there was a gorgeous smell of wild garlic in the air. I thought this plant was possibly it, but my app says it’s valerian??… 



I saw and heard a common buzzard (I wonder if there’s a posh one 🤔) thanks to the Merlin bird ID app for identifying it.

Wild raspberries that unfortunately I couldn’t reach…



And I liked this plant/weed - Silverweed according to the app and it definitely had a silver sheen to it…



I don’t know if I’ve taken photos of this fungi before as I thought I recognised it…

Running late this morning, the shower was pigging about. Grrr.

Ooh that's an enjoyable Rear View Dusty By toe seperaters (sp?) do you mean those things girls/boys use to keep their toes apart when they're painting their nails..? Not an acceptable attitude imo. I know the place is on it's knees but still. You can get those toe things in £shops for pence. 

Good to hear Anonymous Dog is doing alright gb It's the cats that appear to be the issue to me...   Actually - give those 35 plug plants to the cats so they leave poor dog alone! Two birds one stone  

pp it could well be a very fragrant mock orange, but I've no great sense of smell cos I suck down fags like a navvie!  I like your pics, especially the silvery plant and the waterfall

If Barrow and Fylingdales go up that's us beggared pretty rapido down this side then Farway. I didn't see the refueling B2s, was it a good pic? I do think that kind of thing is mesmerising  

Booo to losing your cherries 2p, and to a rat as well   Makes me losing apples to the casually-scaling-my-apple-trees squirrels pale by comparison.

OT cool but humid. It didn't rain again yesterday, even though I was well prepared. It's given showers on and off for today and I don't know what to do with that :rolleyes:  17'c out there now, with a high of 22' to come. Possibly. Which may or may not include cloudiness and/or showers, or neither.

Early start, forecast says sunny all day but it's still raining and the washing is still out 🤨

Up & about early again, I was in Morries about 7ish. Even beat the dead plant society, and the plants were still snoozing in their overnight cages.

I spotted a heron on a rooftop, but too far away for my point & shoot to get a picture. No doubt it was looking forward to a goldfish breakfast from someone's pond.

A bit dull & drizzle is around, nothing worthwhile for the garden though

Never mind Barrow & Flyingdales, I get Pompey & Fawley refinery, I'll be gone in a flash 

I think fulling pic was on FB somewhere. One of those wait for ages pics. The chap has flight radar on his computer, the one which shows aircraft movements. 

He waited for a fuelling aircraft to pop up, and then a B2 showed, camera out and hope

There are designated fuelling areas it seems, so if you know of one you can just watch & wait, but you'd need la ong lens & a bent neck

Good pics PP, I've seen silverweed around here. Once you start looking it's amazing just what there is that is often overlooked.

I have a Morries posh hairy poppy opening up, first time and first proper flower in Dog Poo border. It is named one, if I can find the label. 

I have a cat trying to skulk its way into Farway Towers. Black & white, lolls around next door staring at the bird table [AKA Breakfast Bar], and slinks into my conservatory if the door is open.

Not sure if it's that or what has pooped right in the middle of my grass, cats 'normally hide it for us to find, and Fox stinks so not that

Today's pic is carrot. You may recall I sowed some last year, trying for carroty carrots?

Slugs had most of them, but one sowing, in pot, survived the winter. No edible sized carrots, but I planted the pot out & hoping to get, maybe, self sown carrots? 

Anyway, nothing ventured etc, and nice enough flower for bees / hover flies
