Round 1 done, plus I have hung out the washing that DH put on this morning (overfilled the WM! 😬), and vac'd the LR. I think it will rain soon, so don't want to disappear as I want to be around to get the washing in if needed!
I think I am going to bring down a box and sort it in front of the TV, and then have some lunch 🙂7 -
ASB.. it is at the level of hysteria, utterly beyond a joke... and schools can not refuse children if symptoms do not fit.. they can not force you to submit to a test. They are breaking the law if they try.. I just had it in an email from my MP after pre-empting the situation and wanting to clarify.. waiting on the reply from the local authority. I am not convinced any of this alarmist carry on is in any way saving lives. My daughter got a positive test yesterday so that is most of us had it now. Have you seen how few people have had it in poorer countries? It is mad.. I was reading an article earlier this morning and some hideous people suggested it was 'something genetic' .. racist in the extreme.. more likely they have less junk food and have immune systems instead of relying on fixing problems caused by poor lifestyle choices... whatever the reason maybe we should follow suit. Apparently we are not included in the 'North East' either for the new 'guidelines'.. East Yorkshire is now the Midlands, but West Yorkshire is the North East ... Even my geography is confused.. lol
Cat supplies sorted,
lidded boxes for loft storage sorted

Heading to the loo then dragging OH to the hospital to pick up moomin shoes.

hospital had no answer so I will try again in the morning.
Not sure whether I should book me a hearing test.. I am really struggling to hear anybody speaking and if they have a mask on I can not hear a word... it is driving me insane asking people to repeat themselves I just don't go shopping or go with OH. I can't hear him when we are out either.. but thats ok because apparently I have suddenly started whispering (I am not a quiet person!) I have had to put subtitles on the tv and turn it up to 15 (normally volume is at 10 but I cant hear that)
Cats fed again.. apparently they were so hungry their couldn't even yowl at us. Pumpkin just gone to sleep after running about for HOURS!
Noz cat fell out of the litter tray TWICE spilling litter everywhere and ended up turding on the floor... He is not very clever.
Guys came to deliver mattress, looked in the van for 20 minutes.. determined the mattress was not in there.. This is my life! lol
DW to be delegated to anyone else
Off to collect beasties.

Back to school tomorrow then.. yay for children and meh for you..
I just got a school text blithering on about 'bubbles' and other such BS... if one group has to be sent home yada yada... does that mean if someone in my childs class gets a minor cough I have to have all 4 of my perfectly well children home for 2 weeks? Because that would be utterly idiotic.. moreso given we already had it.. and if I child actually had it and went back to school and another child got a cough why should that recovered child be off.. that is beyond idiotic.. there is absolutely no thought behind any of this is there?several meals cooked.. I accidentally opened 3 tins of minced beef so that was made into a cottage pie (it smelled like cat food but OH eats anything) I had 2 chicken chow meins which I threw in the MW for OH.. he ate those and is now foraging for cottage pie. There were hotdogs, sausages and pork steaks with naked pasta/red pasta/mash/salad, and mixed veg .. whoever required what... If they don't eat now it's not my fault!

Hi all
GoodIntentions thanks for the tip, I gave up last night looking at boots, but will have another look.
Pigpen I got a bit confused about the whole North East thing too. I agree getting it over and done with without being too poorly wouldnt be a bad thing, especially if you are not at risk of passing it on to someone vulnerable. Glad you can go back to work and school ASB.
Better day at work today, had an awful nights sleep last night fretting about all the things that need doing so I sat down this morning and worked out what I can realistically do in the next few weeks and what can be left. Will let my line manager know whats still on my to do list before I start my holidays.
My washing is still out in the rain, but I did run around with the hoover.8 -

ooh.. I vacuumed the landings and the top 4 stairs the vacuum doesn't reach from the ground floor..
I bought binbags so I can again throw things away.
AND.. I bossed DS2 to vacuum his smelly room...
I am too bossy for my own good today.
I need sealant and a chimpanzee to shimmy up and fix the gutter which is dripping onto a bin and driving me to distraction. *bosses OH to go out in the rain to move bins!*

I have pulled myself together slightly and put a wash on which is now drying in front of the woodburner, got the kids to bed and their bags etc ready for tomorrow and sent a few work emails. This past 24 hours has shown me just how precariously backward and messy this whole system is. It's very unsettling when you're relying on 'it' to enable you to get on with your life. Now it's time for Poirot and red wine, my ultimate relaxation combo.9
