Track and Trace Rules - Wrong dates given - How can we get this corrected?

When test and trace call someone they know when the infected person had a positive test - they request that isolation starts from the date of the positive test. If someone doesn't receive a call from test and trace and a friend is positive then they should still go ahead and isolate anyway.0

it is not an unknown number, people are being asked to look for the number on their phones which is 0300 0135 000bradders1983 said:
How would you know its them if its an unknown number? I never answer unknown numbers.normanna said:
Your advice to not answer the phone from test and trace is vastly incorrect and frankly dangerousbradders1983 said:

Seriously.... Hopefully then the vast majority of people do the right thing then and I hope you don't spread it to someone else as you won't know you were a contact if you deliberately do not answer a call from test and trace. Very sad.bradders1983 said:Thats an unknown number to me.1 -
Not now it isn’t thoughbradders1983 said:Thats an unknown number to me.1 -

If you have and Android phone and data enabled on your phone when the call comes in then it'll do a search of the number to try and find who it belongs to, if it's not already stored in your phone. If the top result is a nuisance call site it'll flag the call as such, if Googling the number returns a top result of Natwest Bank then it'll say the number is Natwest Bank, if can't be found then it'll tell you which telephone exchange the dialling code belongs to e.g. if the number starts 01482 it'll be flagged as a Hull number. Apple phones probably do something similar.bradders1983 said:Thats an unknown number to me.1 -
They might text you and then you'll have the chance to Google the number to check if it's genuine.bradders1983 said:I wont remember it.

Agh! It should obviously be running from when "contact was made" !!normanna said:14 day does start on results not when last contact was made.
But this certainly needs to be fought - even if there wasn't the risk of "Here We Go Again" time happening and there's contact with another person and "the race is off again". There is certainly at least one person that has been caught THREE times (!) with a demand to go into quarantine and it's cost her her job (because the boss put up with the first demand - but refused to do so subsequently). That person quite likely didn't even have the illness any of those times - as they didn't feel ill.

You need not worry - as soon as the numbers were published I blocked them in my mobile. TnT and going to find me totally uncontactable should they try.epm-84 said:
