    Hi Everyone,

Sounds like you have all been busy today. Ive been down to Morrisons for some milk, and saw a good offer for those who make bread. They had a free packet of bread making yeast (worth 79p) free with a bag of strong brown flour 89p.

I also had my last driving lesson before my test tomorrow. My DS is being a pest (as i think the poor thing is teething again!) and has been whinging all day. I will be gald when he's in the land of nod tonight . Think I might go and have a nice cup of tea and an early night.

NB: Crumble Slices ... made a second batch for elderly neighbour but with mincemeat (bought 1/2 price back in March). Boys had to *try* them  and they were GORGEOUS! I also have a jar of apple sauce lurking in the cupboard, so I'm thinking that if mincemeat works, apple sauce should too! :D

((greenlogo)) - keeping my fingers X'd for you. I was made redundant years ago and it's a most awful feeling. In our case there wasn't even any hint or warning and I was told 10mins before I knocked off for the weekend. Best of British ((hugs)).
VickyA - Don't eat the cakes!! :naughty: But, if an ickle one should accidently fall ... :shhh: ;) (I won't tell, promise :silenced: ) :D:D

catznine - Ooooh Menorca, how exciting!!! :j :j :j Hope you have a wonderful, wonderful time :D:D

powie69 - Good Luck tomorrow!! I'll keep my toes X'd (would offer my fingers, but greenlogo got in first) Thanks for the tip re: Morrisons; the nearest to me is 20 miles away :(  dh is now working in that area .... *note to self - text dh and suggest he pops into Morrisons* :D:D

Where's Rage today? Hope her poorly foot hasn't keep her away from the keyboard :(:( Whereever you are Rage, hope you're not in too much discomfort ((hugs))

having a lovely O/S evening now (STILL don't know about my job  so I've decided just to get on with it) - made rhubarb crumble (in the oven now) and cleaned my entire kitchen with vinegar solution - it's like magic on the hob and the kitchen doesn't smell of anything but crumble cooking now :D .

I'm off to scout, collect and print out some recipies that I've tried for my new book (try 'em first... like em then print em off :D). I've asked my Mum (or rather my Dad...) to email me up a couple of recipies that I love of hers. If and when I get em I'll post them to the recipie thread :D - all very new-style Old Style :D
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Evening everyone,

A late post as I have been hard at work all day.

Today I gave notice on my old car park contract (£55 per month  ) and switched to a new one, closer and only £50 per month. I really begrudge paying this just to be able to leave my car in the city centre but there seems no alternative as I have to drop off and pick up DS at school every morning and evening and as I work full time everything feels like a mad rush anyway.

I am still on my mission to not spend any money whilst at work and have taken lunch in all week for the second wek running so I'm feeling quite pleased with myself.

I am just off to peruse the internet to get a replacement ink cartridge for my aged printer. Previously I would have popped into WH Smith at lunchtime but they are about £20 or more there. I reckon I can get a recycled one for less than a tenner on the net.

Thanks everyone for sharing your day with us all. What diverse and interesting lives we all lead. :D
