Green Energy a joke!

They have been brilliant to me - been using them for over 6 months now, just add meter readings on your phone and the billing is always accurate. Mind you, I know how to actually read a meter.0

I supply them with a meter reading every month and their readings are always lower than mine and they use their readings when calculating the bill. No issue with meter reads with the previous supply. Annoyingly I have asked them to do the bill based on my readings, but they just ignore and do it on their readings. I am well aware of how to read a meter.

Can you give us an example of your reads and their reads please - a copy of the bill (with the personal info blanked out ) would be good
And confirm it is Green Network Energy pleaseNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
My reading 21st Aug 25586. Their reading 23rd Aug 26684. My reading 5th Sept 27033 their reading 10th Sept 26902. Their reading 24th Sept 27057, my reading 25th Sept 27277. Our small home only has 5 rooms including bathroom and kitchen and there is only the two of us. Heating has not been on so not sure how we can use 220 units in one day?On checking the handbook;Button 6 details tariff, plan name, standing charge, what you've used, cost per unit.Button 9; See your meter readings. Electric reading shows after IMP KWH.Therefore I am doing the correct readings using 9 as with previous suppliers. However I have noticed that when pressing button 6 reading for what I have used is 27157 and when pressing button 9 for meter reading it is 27348. I am assuming with 6 the reading is related to what I have used? Perhaps this is the reading they are using instead of the correct one which I am supplying? Not sure why there is a difference? Perhaps the meter is faulty?0

Are these Estimated or Actual readings? It may be that there's only a window of a day or two each month to submit readings, so perhaps they use an estimate if you miss it.1

So from your readings, you used 1447kWh in 15 days, but in the following 20 days you used 244kWh??

As it is a SMART meter none of the readings should be be estimated. If they are estimated then they should be marked as estimated. However they ignore customer reads when calculating the one and only bill I have had from them in 4 months.

There have been some helpful forumites who understand that a SMART meter has been fitted and it can be read remotely, but there are others that seem to delight in being trolls. I have confirmed the supplier on more than one occasion. I am looking for helpful advice from people who actually take the time to read my posts and the data supplied.

As I said earlier unless this meter was installed by GNE or is a SMETS2 - it's no longer SMART and GNE cannot access the info. They will therefore be estimating yours bills - why they are ignoring your readings is a different matter, perhaps they are outside the range they expect.Never pay on an estimated bill. I was then with OvoEnergy who were able to read remotely and had no issue with reads. In one of their emails GNE stated "Having thoroughly reviewed your account, I can advise that you have a Secure smart meter installed. Further, I can advise that the meter reading we have been obtaining automatically from the meter are not in line with the reading you have provided." I have assumed that they are able read my SMART meter remotely. They go onto state; As per the above, I would kindly request you to confirm if you have been pressing 6 on the keypad four times in order to read the meter. Please find below detailed information on how to read your meter.Doing the above I get a reading of 27157 and not the reading as per 9 according to the instruction book. Not sure why the difference in the readings between 6 and 9?
If it has a keypad (Manufacturer - Secure)
1. Press 6 on the keypad four times
2. You will see the word ‘IMP R01’
3. Your meter reading will follow after
