our DQ has been filed, and it says on MCOL that our claim has been transferred to Wolverhampton. Does it mean that lwlegal has paid and told the court that they are willing to proceed?

There was nothing to pay but yes they are proceeding, as expected at this early stage.

How long do we wait for b4 we ring the court to see if the claimant has paid for a hearing fee. Also is it too late now to pay for our counterclaim? Has it was submitted with our defence.

You will have to contact the CCBC about paying for the counter claim

we are still waiting for the court to read to us regarding the witness statement and other directions. I was wondering if the client solicitors have to pay hearing fees b4 the case moves forward?

Not sure what this means!  The hearing will not take place unless the hearing fee is paid by the claimant.  Once the deadline for fee payment has passed you can call and see if it was paid.  At this point you could apply for a strike out but, since you have a counter claim, wouldn't you want it to go ahead.  Also, in my experience claimants are given far more leeway than defendants and the claimant will no doubt state that they did pay the fee and it is the court's admin that has failed.  Often the court will allow an apparent late payment!

Depends on the court order from the Court in Wolverhampton , which will be sent to the claimant or their solicitors and to the defendant , if it hasnt arrived yet , then it's on their to do pile

The case will not move forward until the court writes to both of you , and definitely won't move further forward until the claimant pays the court fee

The wheels of justice move extremely slowly , and much more slowly since Boris made his edict 18 months ago

Ring the CCBC and ask to pay for your counterclaim, that’s probably the hold up, or you are too late, but you need to know. Do that tomorrow and also this if you haven’t already:
