Nice day here, though cold first thing (sorry DNMS). Early dog walk and then:Hoovered downstairs, cleaned up kitchen including cleaning the stove top (I have an ancient range cooker, and am always cooking, so it is a bit of a mission)Made a batch of quince chutney from fallen quincesPut more fallen quinces into a bag for OH's friend to collect (he wants to make some jelly)Started tidying up the garden - got rid of courgette and cucumber plants as they have gone past it. 3 courgettes and a cucumber picked, took the netting off the kale plants, weeded and staked them and gave them a good water, planted out my asparagus plant, and some chard and perpetual spinach where the courgettes came out, transplanted some forget me nots and an acquilegia into the front garden (they self seed everywhere at the back), and cut back the lemon balm.Picked some French beans, some beetroot, some leeks and a pear that had hidden from me when I picked the others. The pears are enormous - OH and I share one cut up with a scoop of ice cream for pudding every night atm. Found some small onions hiding amongst the courgettes, which I pulled out to use up.My big bag of flour arrived from the wholesaler. None had turned up in the last few shopping deliveries, and I have almost finished the big bag I bought at the start of lockdown - so bought another one.OH is cooking a roast for dinner, but I need to do some veg to go with it.Sounds as though everyone is having a productive day

Morning guys - damn I realised last night my mood is slipping. Trying not to panic but the thought of being depressed again
Am trying to do all I can to just go with it, do the things I know helps and try not to worry. Am sitting here with my light box in the hope I can nip this in the bud...
I'm working today so unlikely to do very much!
* all meals from stores
* load of washing & hang on heated airer. Put bedsheet over the contraption to speed up the drying effect
* Set my machine up next to my work station and hopefully I can get a little sewing in during slow periods -my job is feast or famine. I am either so busy it's frightening or I'm sitting at a desk twiddling my fingers!
* write up madam's packed lunch meal plan
* get stuff ready for school tomorrow
* make apple crumble to use up aging apples
* oh to pick up dog in an hour, hopefully lots of cuddles will be therapeutic for me. M dog is a funny bean, wwhen I'm not well he sticks by my side like glue
Ok that's all I think. Hope you all have a lovely day. I still am astonished ppl are saying the weather is lovely! It's so wet and cold here!

Morning @determined_new_ms 🤗 that feeling that you are slipping into depression is horrible, hopefully, you manage to crawl out before getting in too deep. Have you told anybody in RL how you are feeling?
Our weather yesterday started off sunny for an hour, followed by cloudy and grey from most of the time. All day cool and damp, the flags never dried. We lit our multi-fuel stove in the afternoon as the temperature was not conducive to sitting down for a period of time. We only lit the fire for a few hours, but it made it pleasant to be in the room, in fact even now it is pleasant. Before we lit the fire we checked everyone was dressed appropriately.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

No I haven't, although it won't be long before oh notices. It's all part and parcel of a mood disorder. I have a general strategy to cope with depression. It's been a long term companion. I try to accept it and go with it rather than fighting it (somehow helps me move through it), exercise, eat well and generally offer myself the same love and tenderness I would offer my daughter. The beginning part and fear of what is coming generally is the worst unless it's a severe episode. Thanks for your kind wordsDF as at 30/12/16

Morning folks
@determined_new_ms - I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling so good, but on the plus side, you have recognised it early and hopefully can either nip it in the bud or alleviate it somewhat. We're always here for you xxx
Yesterday was a bit of a mission. I've been asking OH to check the tyres for several weeks now. Of course, as soon as we drove off yesterday, they pressure warning came on. We swooped home via Halfords to pick up a pump which pumped up one tyre then broke, so I had a 5 mile round trip to take the pump back and get a new one. I don't mind walking 5 miles but I was tired when I got home!
Another nice day here but it's freezing. OH has gone busking again so I've sent him with a thermos of hot water and several tea bags.
Washing machine still seems a bit weird but I'm hoping it will sort itself out (vain hope!?). Feeling a bit "fizzy" over the last couple of days and it can do one. I don't want to be anxious on my week off! I finished dad's socks last night and have cast on a pair for m-i-l's christmas present. I am trying out cables for the first time. Pattern seems simple enough though so wish me luck! I think it's going to be a crafty moochy day today.
Have a good one all

Take care of yourself, DNMS.
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!5 -
Some mindset to stop spending, some financial:1. Yolt everyday 7/7
2. Make most of long weekend but not spend more than £100 not counting petrol spent £31 with one day to go. Petrol £130 but still lots left in the tank.
3. Activity with son everyday 7/7 🙂
4. October budget Done.
5. 3x workouts, 3x 5km lol managed 1x 5km only because wife forced me to and 2x workouts.
6. Plan weekend in advance kind of, some done but generally just done our own thing.
7. Switch off work number/ email apart from twice a day to check when off didn't manage to do this Friday. Managed yesterday and today promised wife I will again tomorrow.
All in all not a bad one.
My main issues are all mindset really. Had a long chat to wife about the issues / time to grow up a bit too.4
