Hi another long work day will bring lunches, cooked dinner last night for today to just heat up when getting home. Boy will sort dog and - will I go for a run when I get home? Probably not, still have a bit of a heel splint after my skipping adventure last week. WiIl have to start that up a lot slower next time.
Anyways lessons are easy today - 4 x the same 1,5 hour lesson. but nicely spread out from 8.45 to 6.15 - is that legal. I find it challenging.
Should be NSD - no time to spend money!
Anyways have a good one.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%

Morning, been awake for an hour so have pottered around, emptied the dishwasher, listed a pair of shoes on ebay and read the newsletter

Still to do
* need to run some errands to get bits for decorating projects. Kitchen hit a hitch yesterday as some of the plaster has blown. Need to decide whether to attempt to do ourselves, pay someone (least favored option) or wait until Nov when my brother can do it and secret 4th option decorate but just leave the patch to do after my brother...
* fill cracks in kitchen and start sanding hallway (think I will move on to hallway in the interim....)
* load of washing & hang on heated airer have managed to get it on the line for a bit, has cleared up and is blowy
* something from freezer for dinner
* carry on knitting sock
* list a couple of things to be sold
* make jam and chutney - check jars first....
Ok think that's me. Have a good day

Morning all
Up early as usual, dog walk done, kitchen clean up done, and I have a batch of pumpkin (or in this case, butternut squash) and apple chutney simmering. Another spicy one, smells lovely
My brother is coming round with a load of washing - first time for ages, and naturally, he would choose a wet day
I am a bit conflicted about him coming round, as he works in a food factory in a town that has had covid cases, but I will keep my distance and hope for the best. The incidence in this area is still thankfully low, for now at least.Anyway, other things:Put a casserole in the SC for laterPay milk bill and check banksShopping will arrive in a couple of hours, so that will need dealing withI have 2 more ebay parcels to pack, may walk to post office to post them, but will probably wait till tomorrow when I will be in town anyway.Hope everyone is having a good day

Morning folks
Been skipping over the thread a bit quickly so my apologies if I missed something critical. Sorry to hear about the leak 1LL.
WFH today but my internet/laptop connection is driving me insane. It keeps dropping the connection momentarily. Other than that I appear to have a cold. Def a cold as stuffy nose, sore sinuses, no temp, no coughing. Snot has gotten into my ear which is making me a bit dizzy too.
Covid-wise we are under a local lockdown but are still having to go to m-i-l's. Essentially dt her mental health, she is a vulnerable adult. If no one is with her, she just lays in bed and cries
Just a bit grumpy now
but no money being spent so that's a plus!
Have a good one all

@DawnW, man oh man that chutney! I love cumin seeds and that comes through very distinctively. Thank you for the recommendation

@carrielovesfanta hope the grumps have passed x
@ziggy2407 I feel fairly confident that you can never go too hard with ginger

Evening all, After such a good, productive week last week... this week not so much!
Clicked and collected my shopping this morning (had to ring tecsco though as for some reason my clubcard points aren't showing on the bill and its not given me the discounted prices for a couple of things I'd bought which were clubcard priced - they've refunded the difference in price and are looking into the issue of the points not showing)
Home to put shopping away, research for a few things we are looking to purchase (laptop for school work , some fence paint and chase up a refund) Then just after lunch a call from ds1, followed by a call from the school to ask me to collect him. Managed to get him in for a covid test this evening thankfully so we're all now isolating til we get the results.
So another meal plan fail but we didn't resort to junk... we had jacket spud with cheese and ham - was starving by the time we got back so it was very welcome.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Wet, windy and miserable here!

* some sewing
* all meals from stores
* I really need to nip to the allotment so am hoping this weather clears up a bit....

* list a couple of things on fleabay
