goodness me Natty.. you don't do things by half do you?! You may be banned from moving!!
Ebeast missing parcel chased..
email sent
My chest is really wheezy again with this cold.. children all sent to school, I gave Dot to paracetamol which turns her wild.. it is all I had in my defence.. DD1 has her 2 off with the same cold.. but she has a 45 minute walk each way with a double pram and we have the car today.
I found my present book so I have updated that and have pretty much everyone sorted on paper.. just need to ebeast some more!
After yelling at OH for implying I am stupid every 5 minutes last night I told him he was actually being stupid this morning.. he spent 45 minutes doing absolutely nothing (he swapped Dots dress because he had got her one she won't wear.. if he was a proper parent he would have known that already.. I know it!) while I brushed the girls hair, pointed them at relevant shoes and bags and pe kits and when he started opening lunch bags to check what was in them.. I lost my chill... again implying I am too stupid to make a pack up.. he is now banished to the gym, then Lidl, then my sisters and then taking Meem to work.. I might not see him for a while lol.
having a cuppa then I have to call hospital (moomin has an appointment tomorrow and if they want people to wear masks I can't go with her which means they won't see her.. god knows why when she is 18 in under 2 months! I had a child at her age!) and dentist to see if they are ever doing check ups again.. mine was due in April and the others in August, another item to parcel up and post too.
I have washing to hang out, DW to load and no doubt a load of socks to put in the TD.... after my cuppa.

Ouch Natty.
Hi to all. I'm back after a lovely few days with my mum which included visits to 2 old school friends and 3 sisters; mainly outside and only one or two at a time. The planned 2 night stopover mid-way between mum and the Devon sisters felt like a real holiday. Hugs to all who have been struggling.
We've got a couple of domestic/flying issues to sort out. The first was the house and contents insurance renewal; I've had to grudgingly accept that a brief phone call to the company to ask whether our leaked washing machine/drowned floorboard issue last November was covered by insurance did actually constitute "a claim" despite the answer being no it isn't covered. I managed to beat a measly £18 off the premium by adjusting my 'business on the premises' clause from 2 clients per month to one every 6 months which is what it has been (or in fact none for the last year).
Next and most tricky problem is the Stanley range (like an Aga). Sadly we had a letter on Sat to say our Stanley technician has gone bust. This means we have £1500 worth of reconditioned range in the garage, an old one in the kitchen which currently works but has one major issue for where there are no spares. Mr Stanley had a long waiting list for the installation, then unfortunately had a fall so was planning to install it in Oct. Now not. There are very few technicians in England who can do it. If we cut our losses it may mean (at worst) paying to get both ranges disposed of and losing what we paid on the new one then paying for whatever else we choose to do the heating, hot water and cooking. Stanley did it all, so we don't have a boiler.
Anyway so far I have:
washed up
filled bird feeders
checked greenhouse
phoned insurance company
watched Covid update.
Lots more to do but I have a Zoom meeting now so will get back after I've done something more.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -

Well ladies, I leave you for a weekend and everything seems to happen.
Late start for me as took DD1 to hairdressers this morning and then friend who has just moved out of the area messaged me to see if I could pick her son up who still lives and studies here. He's had very limited electricity since Friday and they are saying up to 5 days to fix, basically he can use microwave but no hot water etc. So I now have a big19 year old lad in the house.
My laundry has been done, his is now in WM
Lunch done and everyone fed
Bed made and clothes picked up
Now off to help DD1 get some food shopping done, plus prescriptions and dry cleaning etc
Full day at work tomorrow so need a couple of lesson plans
Hugs and spoons to all of you that are suffering, look after yourselves9 -

Nail appointment booked for thursday I have found somewhere who will see special little me without mask .. obviously if I have any illness I wouldn't go but given I had c19 in June I doubt I will get that again any time soon.. but given I have had 5 colds in the last 4 months I am hoping not to be deaded by Thursday. I am slowly shedding nails this week (6 down, 3 loose) which is what spurred me to find somewhere.. they are expensive but I have been before so I don't need to be super special about it.

Bob the builder has left. I have 2 new sets of shiny taps 😁 On the down side, the kitchen taps are dripping. He looked at them, but he can't fix them so we will need new ones 😭 The most annoying thing about this is that they were new about a year ago! I need to email a complaint to the retailer - when I can remember where I got them!
1 load in the WM, lunch has been had. I have cleared some emails - more to do. I am going to hang out the washing then delegate a food shop to DH while I pop to the allotment - I have my eye on a swede down there that I plan to put in a lovely casserole on Wednesday 😊 (no one else likes casserole, so I plan to do one while I am home alone!)8 -
