Hi, please add me, I have been dreadfully over budget and need to reign it right back in. So just £150 this month for 3 adults. This will just be food, no alcohol and no treats this month as we went way overboard.Starting Total in September 2019 = £38287.77
Current Total = £25534.10

Please put me down for £400 again, though I am hoping its much lower. I work payday to payday though officially I should start on the 26th; however as it's a Saturday I've been paid a day early. I am going to still stick to this being my last day of the September challenge though.

€300
For us in October but I’m hoping it’s closer to €200 especially with the amount of things we’ve got in stock (nappies, wipes, household items) that usually bring the budget up. As it’s turning colder I’m making use of our slow cooker too

Hi,
I'm new to the forums here. Could I please get involved in this thread? Our grocery budget completely went out of the window during lockdown and has continued on the same path since. I really need to get it under control.
Me, oh, DS (12 and literally a bottomless pit) and DD (9 and is a fuss pot where food is concerned)
can I go down for £400 please?
That is for the 4 of us including groceries, cleaning, toiletries and pet food (4 year old springer spaniel) from 1st-31st October.
Thankyou6 -
welcome, justmum.
I think many of us share your story--the pandemic has been very expensive for us foodwise and i see so many others reporting the same. And, bless your heart, you have a tweenage son! That in itself will boot up a grocery budget.
We went shopping this morning and stocked up on red meat and some veg. The total was $190.74USD. I'm counting this as October since we'll be eating most of it in October.
Here is our menu plan for the first week.
Menu:
10/1-lebanese turkey meatballs, rice, peas in tomato sauce
10/2-beer braised smoked sausage, sauerkraut, german potato salad
10/3-kalbi, rice, banchan
10/4-oxtail & butterbean stew (lo from earlier) for dh/something keto for me
10/5-grilled chicken, zankou sauce,green salad
10/6-tomato cheddar pie, green salad
10/7-asian turkey meatballs, zoodles

Welcome @JustMum89 and @tootoo and welcome back everyone else! Thread is now pinned properly (thanks @Suffolk_lass!)
I'm very excited as I'm waiting on an order from JD Seasonings - me and mum bought a saver box plus a few extra individual ones between us so that we could try more of the different mixes, and they have such good reviews, so they better be good! Good afternoon all. I’ve done a very rough re budget for October and I’m setting it at £230 for the month, but hoping to come in under. This will include food, pets and household stuff. It’s payday tomorrow so will do a petfood order tonight and then home bargains and Aldee on Friday to set up for the month 😁SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)6
