thats what customer services said. "you'll get new airtime tariff details through the post" I asked that she set up the new account after 21 Jan. she made a note on the account and said that ok.

but, i'm going to call them now to make sure.

Yes, no doubt you will get the new tariff detail, ie when you get the next bill it will be different. But where will the detail about the £300 automatic cashback appear?

I would urge you to ensure that before you accept this deal that you have the full detail of it in writing. Full detail to me means detail of the length of the contract, the full tariff detail including detail of the bundle, the amount of the cashback, how and when it will be paid. Will it be paid by cheque or will it be credited to your account?

Last and not least, what is the cancellation process?

I have to agree. This company is now totally untrustworthy.

I see what you mean, just been on the phone to them to confirm and got different info re: cashback - now saying its not automatic but needs claiming. they did say that they would send all details in writing after 21 jan. - I will keep a close tab on it from then.

    thanks for the heads up!

I would seriously suggest that you do more than just keep a tab on things, I would urge you to cancel this if at all possible.

I am not over reacting when I say you will struggle to get what you think you have agreed. I am with CPW who always used to be considered slightly better than e2save to deal with and I cannot get out of my contract that has now expired and have just had an acknowledgement from OFCOM to the complaint I have raised.

I won't let them get away with this in my case but I have already spent possibly as many as 10 hours on the phone plus paid out over £4 per letter for letters to go special delivery as they do not sign for recorded.

mobilejunkie's post should be taken note of..if he thinks this is a difficult company then the rest of us are doomed.

There you see, it's not as simple as you might have hoped. Also, did you note who you spoke to, name and time etc? If you call again now, might it be a different tail?

Also, what is the significance of 21st January? If you leave it until then does it mean you will not be able to cancel the existing or does it jeopardise you in any other way?

I have to say that I don't like the sound of this and I feel that it could all end in tears.

Just an aside and not relevant at all. Having spent so long on the phone to CPW and always asking for their name I just realised that looking at my 'log' of calls that virtually every man I spoke to, regardless of regional accent told me his name was 'Paul'. Odd co incidence or something more worrying..my paranoia is setting in!

If the contract goes on longer than you expected because of their attempts to frustrate your endeavours to end it, then you might consider recovery of any extra outlay, plus the costs of those letters you sent via recorded delivery etc. You would do this by starting a claim in the County Court.

CPW are not above the law and most court offiials, I think, would easily find in favour of a claimant.

I have just cancelled my line rental with them and requested PAC code and the address i was given is the above Southampton address.
As far as cancellation you just need to be very assertive and keep cutting them off by playing the broken record, "No i want to terminate".
I did that yesterday with 5 different credit card companies.

I did try that but all they did was cut me off and then I had to rephone and go through the entire system again and again and again.

Incidentally I was given the London Address to request my PAC code. I have sent letters though to every address I can find mentioned with the main London address having been sent special, guranteed next day delivery, just in case.

just coming to the end of an E2 contract (17 Jan) and unsure who I was supposed to write to - rang them (E2)and they said as I am on Virgin ring them - very nice man said he would take my cancellation there and then - said no I would rather keep it into Feb (awaiting last cashback which has always been prompt)....so he said ring again on the 23rd and he would put the cancellation in for the 17 Feb (happy to pay that last month just to make sure I get the £60 cashback....)....no need to write and guess what his name was......Paul............................now after reading the various messages on here I'm wondering if it is that easy??????????
