It seems to be the season for bank switch incentives. Details for the switch below
https://www.hsbc.co.uk/content/dam/hsbc/gb/pdf/125-switcher-offer-terms-and-conditions.pdf
Please note HSBC current account holders on the date of application and have not been on or after 1 January 2017 are not eligible.
I have a HSBC Advance account opened July 2015.Still open
I had a M&S account opened May 2015 and closed Aug 2015
I had a First Direct account opened Feb 2014 and closed Aug 2020
The switch offer is not available to me as I already am an account holder.(unlike the Lloyds Club offer)
Is that your opinion or you have that from HSBC authority?
At face value I'd think that would fail against the you're eligible if you "are not an HSBC current account holder on the date of application and have not been on or after 1 January 2017."0 -

It's good to see that multiple banks are doing switch offers again, but they all seem to be requiring higher monthly pay ins than before Covid. None of these used to have pay in requirements... now they are all asking £1,500+ per month, and this one at £1,750 is even more.0

oh dear, they've realised that HSBC, First Direct & M&S are linked....... I wonder how long it will be before the Lloyds group makes banks within it's group ineligible.
I had hoped to switch to 1st D at some time in the future- I reckon that notion has just sunk!!

Tried to apply this morning but as a retired OAP with only pension income I was declined. Put in a formal complaint to HSBC for ageism and the lack of a box to tick that I am able to fund the necessary monthly amount from considerable savings. I did ask whether they wanted my £20K from Santander or not? You can only open this account online because of Covid 19. I will try to apply in joint names but we had wanted to open 2 accounts to gain the £250 switch payout, as per MSE would approve!!0

I have read HSBC are very picky.
Why not go to Lloyds or RBS (amended from Halifax) and get £100 if you open both you get double.#40 Save £1 a day for Christmas 2020 £109/366

Do I need the 2 standing orders set up before I start the switch?
I knew my NatWest account that I switched from my TSB account would come in useful.0
