The days sound good again now, some balance back. You should be proud.

Hope you all enjoy your holiday and that you personally get some real benefit from down time and making good solid family memories together - how excited your son must be to see his grandparents.

    Day 132 today.

Well done for addressing the work/life balance. Hope your last full day at work goes well.
  • Enjoy your holiday and more importantly enjoy some quality time with your family

When you strip everything down , possessions mean nothing , we leave this world without them but the impact we have on others is everlasting
  • It sounds as if you are back on track now after starting to slip a bit with over working, hiding away in your work and home offices and obsessive thoughts. You sound a lot more positive and engaging more with the pros and techniques to help you which is great. Well done for taking positive action rather than doing nothing and letting things slide which it would have been easy to do.

I’ve been island hopping in Greece to small islands in the past and like you say there’s nothing much there to spend your money on apart from food. I think you said you were going to Santorini which has more things you could spend money on though. Maybe have a rough overall budget figure in your head but as you haven’t seen your parents for years and you’ll only be together for a short time you wouldn’t want to be constrained in any family activities because of a strict budget. Hope you all have a fabulous holiday and you are able to truly relax and have a break from the constant worrying. I’m sure once you get there you’ll really enjoy it all.

Day 133 today quiet one 1/2 day work, pick son up and I’m cooking a steak, veg and sweet potato for dinner then make sure everything ready for Friday.

@Purplelady65 thank you. We are spending a few days in santorini start and end. I have in mind if we spend anything under £1k I will be ok with that tbh should be a lot less. I was trying to work out potential spending in the obsessive way and tbh whilst I know I want to carry on with the payback it was hurting me to keep staying up late working various scenarios and figures out. I have a plan I can stick to some months are going to be up and some down. Probably shouldn’t say this on here but I’m not going to wind myself up over being on the 0% a bit longer or shorter than the sheet tells me.

@RelievedSheff thank you I need to keep putting my recovery first. My wife says it’s my ‘medicine’ and I’m better on it than off it lol.
