Just a thought, you could share with your son. Bed to yourself and you'll be there when he wakes up which will help your relationship with him1

Oh yes, good idea peb. Ask son if he wants a sleepover with you in his room. Make a "packed breakfast" and put it in the fridge ready so that the two of you can go out as soon as you're dressed. You can have a walk, a chat and a snack on a seat somewhere then be back in time for proper breakfast.3

Day 44, no chance of doing anything to derail it today. I was def overthinking the bed thing woke up this morning and actually felt married rather than having some sort of house mate.Lots planned. FIL has booked a few activities for just my boy and I probably to get me out of their way but looking forward to it just need to get of the phone now haha. Not sure I can ever just diarise the stuff on my mind, like the idea of it though @warby68 don’t really do my own diary probably why the personal stuff all too often goes to !!!!!! ha.6

I think that's really kind of your FIL to give you and your son some bonding time over fun activities definitely take it hat way as I reckon thats how its intended 😃Current mortgage (1 Jun 2022): £289,501 - originally £351,999 got to love London sized mortgages!
OP Goal 2022 = 3.75% in OPs: £6,975 / £13,200
Emergency Fund Target: 3 months saved ✅

Day 44 through, always was in the bag so long as I got here tbh likewise tomorrow which I hadn't worked out when I set it as being an interim target would be whilst I was here. Anyhow nice to know I've got that one in the bag too. This is turning into the !!!!!! drug free diary haha but no spends in-laws keep insisting I owe them no money idk trying to just think it is what it is now. I know why they won't take my money, it's !!!!!! mortifying tbh but nothing is going to change- my FIL is really stubborn.
Weather is amazing, can't believe that really and had a very busy but brilliant day with my boy it's wonderful here for him. Son has built a little house for animals to stay in the garden and was telling everyone about his garden who'd listen lol. Wife not really enjoying it has been a !!!!!! princess over activities with son caused a massive scene over kids archery and kids football bawling her eyes out about it, that wound my FIL off the !!!!!! clock. Think you're right @getmore4less he's being alright with me 'cos he doesn't want her back haha. Our Golden isn't loving the heat he's been on one walk - too hot and he has a lot of fur not thrown his toys out of the pram though. Absolutely whacked def hope I get a bit more than the 3ish hours I had last night.

@warby68 I might have to try the parking it in my head. Wound up spending about an hour and a half on work stuff tonight about 10pm. Not really what I should be doing here and absolutely nothing that couldn't have waited.
Yeah think you might be right re my in-laws idk they have their own ways I can't say I like tbh but they are very family orientated and apparently count me 'as a son' ha fml.5
