Just posted in alcohol thread ha - it’s funny how drunk people and ones that do chang feel like !!!!!! bores and liabilities when you’re not really drinking and not touching anything else. Had another staff member causing me trouble today and a nice chat with one who never comes on nights out, doesn’t really spend, loves time with her dog etc tbh think she’s the happiest person in my team.Looking forward to getting through the work and having an early night today with staff playing up and wife having to bring up the ‘I should be better at business’ stuff again after conv about the spends coming out of her annual spends budgets. Tomorrow is a new !!!!!! day haha.2

@alt80 Seriously! It feels like you’ve done that conversation to death with wife - I thought it had hit home last time when you explained about where you are in the earnings scale etc. It’s almost sounding like she’s has a relapse herself - has she been back on Instagram?
Are you allowing her sales to go back into her personal spends budget or not? May be worth it to make the whole thing doable for her. And £200 is not not really spending :-DJust because I’m nosey, have you been able to find a space in your current budget for MG insurance? What did you have to reduce to make it fit, or is it a fairly nominal cost?3 -
@stymied always been the case I mention anything about not having enough money for something or winding it in a bit or whatever I get the ‘should be better at business’ then the she could have found someone better / fitter / more money / whatever chat lol.
Yeah shes back on IG for Love Island apparently going to take it off her phone when that ends. Her sales - no they’re meant to be coming off totals. I’ve explained the quicker it comes right the better things are in the long run.MG insurance was £90 for the year 😆and fuel total will be coming down when the milk float arrives - I’m going to use milk float for local jobs might as well get my money’s worth from it.3 -
Some good news today - looks like my trip to Greece will be going ahead at least so no money wasted there and got a good deal with flights etc risk booking when we did paid off.

One of these days the conversation with your wife will end with you saying "you still can" or "nothing stopping you".

Day 35 - got through it. Ready for bed now ha said I’d have an early night lol so no chance of slipping up now. Not been the easiest of days but I haven’t wanted to turn to the self destructive stuff. Nice feeling to realise I’ve got through the day wanting nothing other than to get through the day.
Has been a no spend day too and news about Greece are both things to smile about.
@MovingForwards it’s absolutely crazy does offset the cost of the Range Rover’s a bit haha.
Had it tonight, her ranting on about when she met me she could have pulled Brad the labourer etc etc etc fml she sees some bloke she fancies on TV and here we !!!!!! go again lol.2 -
Good job - keeping on keeping on is the one lesson I have learned about MSE. I wish I had learned some of the tough love lessons earlier, but keeping going is something I can doI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine3 -
Well done on getting through the day without turning to the self destructive stuff especially when your wife seems to have had a relapse and gone back on IG. Good news you can visit your parents in Greece later on in the year. I think I would find it hard to bite my tongue with your wife going on about you needing to earn more or how she could do better. Sometimes she seems to be incredibly supportive of you and other times she does something she knows will wind you up like the ott spending.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Next time she pulls the I could have someone else stunt ask her seriously what makes her so sure. She is a 30 odd year old with a face full of filler. Not the pull she probably thinks she is really.
A dose of reality will do her good at times. Life isn't IG!2 -
You're doing well not to retaliate. I would have after the second time, the third time I would have helped her pack!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
