Day 9 so will be a third the way to my first goal tomorrow.

Today gone completely awry have at least got the BMW done and the clothes inventory need to have a look at the figures tomorrow properly work out how the month is looking. Range Rover still needs cleaning. Wife has got plenty to sell from things I either haven't worn in years or just don't want. She also got a £250 sale today and an offer of £650 on an £800 item - she's sent back £750. No payment through yet on the £250 so we'll see if that actually comes off.

No nice date night dinner and not much time outside we were out in the garden first thing and son got really ill with hay fever. His eye went really strange - looked like something out of a horror film, not even exaggerating so we've wound up spending most of the day indoors with him with a cold wet flannel over his eyes and him keep trying to take it off to watch football haha. Like I've got a new unwanted career in policing fml ha. Tbh I was ready to take him to A&E I've never seen anything like it but one of wife's siblings is a nurse and had a look. After today I cba to cook had fish and chips bad really I know but it what it is. Managed to read to him tonight for first time in a while think he felt so !!!!!! he didn't want to protest haha.

@Grumpelstiltskin thank you! Will have a wonder there first thing tomorrow not sure what'll be left now but should find something and hopefully might cheer him up a bit.

@Allikat86 just looked the board game up says for ages 10+ so assume you mean the junior one is well pitched for my sons age (he is 7)? He might like it being indoors for the moment.

@alt80 yes, the junior one is super easy to get the hang of. I think my 8 year old could cope with the older one but I bought that one so that my 5 year old could join in.

Also, the episode with your son’s allergies sounds like it must’ve been frightening. My background is in paediatric nursing. I’d just make sure that you have some Piriton in the house for if that happens again. It always looks horrid when eyes swell, doesn’t it!

Glad that your wife has found some stuff to sell/is helping you with your sales. She sounds like a good egg.

Shouldn’t be up at this time of night thought I’d sorted my sleep out a bit but no wide awake. Going to blame it on being too hot tonight ha.

@Allikat86 thanks re game idk which he’d be ok with then he is progressing ok at school but middle of the road in class not the best not the worst iyswim. Some of the parents are !!!!!! obsessed with their kids’ academic progress though don’t mean to be prejudiced or stereotyping but mainly the East Asian ones lol. Ultimately idk if you’ve got a very bright 8 year old or the game is very very easy for a 10 year old ha.

Have the antihistamines. Both wife and I get hay fever but nothing like that lol it was like a second skin on his eyeball. Im no expert in medical conditions but it didn’t look right.

She is in her own way lol.

Day 10 - one third through to first goal.

Not going to be getting the £250 sale - wife got a message apparently they bought by accident. 🙄 Drunk probably or something haha.

Son a lot better this morning wife reckons it was lying on the grass which seems a logical explanation. Anyway he’s in cooking with me and watching the match later. @Grumpelstiltskin thanks I did manage to get him a few bits from the Lidl. 👍 Although he’s massively hyper for the match now haha.

So much planned I’ve no time for not getting through the day now ha. Also need to plan week ahead, work sorted I don’t have to do that and my son wants to take me to Sundown next weekend because I missed out lol. People on here and pros got a point I know. Can’t help but question if it’s right for me to be an influence in his life as ultimately I want the best for him and I’m def not the best but trying not to think too much about it today.

So pleased to read your son is coming round and you’re no longer the enemy. Kids are very resilient, if you can build up a good relationship with him from now on he’ll soon forget the bad days. Sounds like keeping yourself busy is working for you.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

You are a major influence on his life, you are his father.  You only get to affect what sort of an influence.

Thanks all. Day 10 through absolutely whacked thought weekends were meant to be relaxing ha. Going to have an early night chamomile tea and go to bed with my audio book I think. Hoping for a better night's sleep but it's still a bit too hot imo. Enjoyed my lamb roast, son was an absolute superstar in the kitchen today really proud of him actually. Eton mess was ok didn't practice the meringue in the end just went for it ha. I've ate too much again fml really am struggling not to eat like a pig at the moment. England won at least, though not the 8-0 result my son had predicted haha. 😆 As I said before I like his optimism ha still a win is a win, not convinced it's coming home though lol.

Tomorrow I'm doing the date night meal fairly big day on the work planned too fml def going to be a busy one. Wife agreed to do the scheduled stuff on the house and finish the Range Rover - I've just finished the externals so just the interior to do.

Not doing bad on the recovery side but I've got no time for chang right now with work/ house/ family etc and stuff I'm doing for the rehab people. Said to wife earlier idk how I fitted it in when really I fitted nothing else in just getting off my head when I was in that zone. Neglected the good things in my life for it, next time hope I neglect that for the good things instead. Did online meeting it's !!!!!! shocking what some have lost to it I'm talking about good people too actually. I'm lucky to have everything I've still got 100% !!!!!! blessed.

Managed to get through my spends for the month so far - not looking like I wanted when I sorted out my plan tbh but not the end of the world and poor level of progression is mostly due to my stupidity. Booked Sundown for next weekend so they've had £110 of my money this month lol.

    Variables:
    Food: £275/400
    Alcohol: £60/£50
    Coffee out: £20/50
    Fuel: £310/500
    Entertainment: £185/250
    Misc: £570
Son football stuff: £65 (wife bought him a kit last week that I didn't know about too)
