Had message from wife looking like she’s  going for an EQC. Both of us prefer the Taycan tbh but don’t really feel we can justify it at the moment need all the retained I can keep really, build funds up in business a bit which she’s ok with so lease on EQC works out better and she likes those anyway. Just cheating myself ultimately. !!!!!! kills me looking to the world like I’m becoming some extinction rebellion activist though fml will have to tell people I’ve bought it to drive in bus lanes legitimately save some money on fines haha. 

My mate that I’m trying to ignore is apparently getting into the AM scene in a big way, he’s invited me to a few events if I get a car no real way of entirely avoiding him lol but we’re down to just emails through work. Anyway had a !!!!!! mad thought if I binned my Range Rover off I could keep my BMW and buy a V8V at the cheaper end of the market. In a lot of ways an EQC would do the family stuff albeit not as well. Imagine it’s just as !!!!!! as a normal car though in the winter and realistically I’m going to have to use it in the winter if I went down that road. Idk struggling with the idea of forgetting about having any balance on the drive and just accepting my car days are over for good. Don’t want to get rid of my RR really it’s !!!!!! amazing as a car for everything other than driving driving iyswim and would massively regret it I know when winter comes or going away as a family but winding up with two 4x4 is really tripping me off. Just need to make sure I keep away from it tripping me off too much. Already ate a slice of my secretary’s Victoria sponge she’s a decent baker but I’ve almost always been able to resist it in the past fml know I need to stop eating like a pig but just keep !!!!!! doing it. At least no money spent. No point telling me to get rid of the lot and just get x2 EQCs or something - that’s not going to happen ha.

Ignore your so called friend and don't feel pressured with the cars. You are doing the right thing now to get your finances in order so that in a few years time you can have an AM but it will be a considered purchase that you can afford.

I’m not going to let him cause me problems tbh I’m not really even that bothered about driving driving at the moment. Shouldn’t be getting wound up by it know that much tbh he falls into the ‘people’ category. I’ve just binned his email decided when I got back on the recovery if its not about his property it can go. Find it’s something else destructive really. Do have an issue with not having a good balance of cars but it is what it is ultimately. When I’m in the house I don’t care which is where I need to stay. House, comm, jobs and out with wife and son only for leisure. No pubs, no cars, no people other than family is what I need to stick with and no money. Quite seriously thinking about real gym again but that’s for if I get to my 30 days. 

When we take son out we both prefer going in the RR and so does son tbf EQC probably will be better than the BMW for what we use that for currently. Made a positive out of it there at least ha. 👍

Still got my other mate with the MG chasing me do I want the car fml it’s a lovely little car and not going to get me into trouble. I probably would buy it off him tbf but he won’t accept an offer and I don’t need his !!!!!! charity lol 100% embarrassing that he thinks things are that !!!!!! bad for me tbf. 

I’m whacked today can’t get my brain working, had to take a coffee break found myself failing to keep the concentration up. Might do an hour and ask wife if I can pick son up with her have a little walk then get back to it for an hour before the cookathon ha. Got out first thing with the student he’s sent something back to me something not quite there will get my head round it either later or tomorrow not stressing it too much though. He’s alright makes me laugh and also makes me realise how !!!!!! old I am lol. Was saying to wife yesterday we’re getting on a bit for some of the lifestyle stuff really. First time she’s ever agreed with me about that, since she’s been off IG started acting her age lol.

I don't think your mate is offering "charity" I think he sound like a really nice guy who would just like to help his friend - I suspect you would be exactly the same with him if the shoe was on the other foot!!  Don't let your pride ruin something that could be a positive for you and your family.

He said if I decide I want the car when I’m ‘financially straight’ he’d potentially be open to an offer. Not saying it isn’t something I’d do, I let him and his wife use my ftype often enough lol and ultimately he gets his car stored for free (currently paying to store it); I just don’t like anyone seeing me as needing help in that kind of way I don’t suppose. Probably is pride or something idk.

Wife thinks we just need to get the bmw gone and stick with buying the Range Rover outright keep having these electric cars on lease for work / school and keep Range Rover ‘for best’ lol. She’s got a point tbf the electric cars are really good for us financially and I wasn’t joking about the being able to drive in bus lanes being a plus haha.

Been struggling with the demons a bit on and off today. Car thing kind of tripping me off and wife has spent £240 on a white RL tote bag. Been in her wish list at £300 so £60 off and she pulled the trigger. Tbf she sold a similar bag but higher end and worth a lot more a while back. Realised she massively misses it, used this similar previous one a lot and thought she wouldn’t when we were in lockdown, regretted selling it so bought this one. She’s said she wants to take it off her yearly total I was really !!!!!! angry an hour ago especially as I’ve got access to £20 lol but I’ve calmed down a bit now had time to think it through between jobs, starting cooking etc.

Corona let us down again wish I’d carried on ignoring the news hearing about this does me no favours whatsoever. I’m completely fed up of it now and it’s variants tbf I don’t even plan to go anywhere that’s on the final list to open I don’t think but I’m devastated for those who have had businesses affected by this for over a year now. Don’t know how I would have survived if I was in the nightclub business or whatever tbh I would have been in a right mess by now in all likelihood. Had to deal with it a bit from the comm prop side and a couple on the res side too, it’s !!!!!! heartbreaking the government has this power over people’s livelihoods. Rishi reckons we can live on air I think - max £2.5k/m was meant to get people through fml wouldn’t cover my mortgage and my Range Rover. Tbh has made me think a bit; I couldn’t cover all my commitments from portfolio property income alone and tbf something like this happens again that’s def not a guaranteed income. Idk what the government thinks you’re meant to do with existing commitments. Payment hols don’t go on forever and for someone like me he wasn’t going to honour any divi income either. I’m really !!!!!! lucky I’m in the industry I’m in but could happen to any industry couldn’t it the government decimating it fml scary thought that is.
