First Steps to Solvency

Thank you for the messages it means a lot, much appreciated tbh. Sorry but not going to reply individually but 100% big thanks tbh being on here gave me the final push to take the step. Probably obvious that I didn’t go home after the assessment - 1 week gone can have a limited access to my phone etc now lol but will be staying at the cokeheads college for 2 more weeks graduate from the programme ha. Jokes aside it’s the best place for me right now tbh. Had upgrade over my medical insurance cover. Before the comments are made, I’m ending the month in more debt than I started it with.
Wife is doing well with the selling - everyone got that taste of freedom now I suppose and buying stuff to go out. Glad I’m away from it right now. Going to make a go of my marriage though, she’s doing the family therapy properly serious about it as am I. I will be home just in time to go for the meal out with my wife that I booked - know she’s looking forward to that so need to keep it together and not spoil it for her. Son is back at school now. Looking forward to taking him to the places people suggested on here so thanks again you’ve all given me some things to look forward to.
Been nice to be away from the phone/ iPad etc a bit - only have limited access now until I get home but nice to have some contact with the world too. Get quite a bit of downtime between sessions tbh first couple of days I was raging about that tbh I’ve actually paid money to sit about ha sure some of you will laugh at that. Even been drawing fml lol for the therapy reminds me of the advice from that dopamine book I read after someone told me about it on here haha. I actually read it 4 times, once off my head in the hope it’d end differently and here I am. Last day or two actually enjoying sitting about life has just been complete burnout for me, running on empty for years getting to the point of seeing that’s no good for me, no good for my family and no good for business. I can’t carry on the way I was and if I’m not going to put a big source of work at risk I need to think about additional staff resources maybe a little earlier than I first planned, cut a bit of dead wood from my life and make a proper commitment to working on the programme. Start having some downtime I don’t really even know how def not before trying some of the suggestions on here which I enjoyed - tbh that’s what I want going forward enjoy some time walking etc guilt free, been a big topic of discussion with the pros they are focused on keeping up the good work done here when I get home and into the future. Like that tbf they’re running my life like a business quite disciplined / scheduled / measured etc no madness.
Just wanted to say thanks for the final push from these parts hard to ignore a bunch of strangers with no horse in the race all saying the same thing and good advice on here def helped me to push me to get a proper plan in place for my personal finances so probably always going to be very grateful. Be back for the bants soon probably @RelievedSheff though real question given your news must be d’ya like dags or prefer caravans? Seriously congrats mate 🥂 even though I can’t join you for one lol.
