Great that your wife is looking to do something outside your home and away from spending. I hope she can stick with it. You are doing so well and in general your posts are really positive.  Hopefully she will meet more diverse people and realise that stuff is not the path to contentment. I agree with others about your son he needs to see that many children do not have all the things that you are able to get him.

Day 63 - 9 weeks and one week to go to meet my lockdown 1 effort. Absolutely whacked tonight so tired I can't think straight woke up earlier than I usually do and had a good day on the work so trying not to panic about it too much don't rationalise and I'll  be straight back to feeling I need the scans or the stimulants maybe both lol.

Interesting thoughts re son/ school. Tbf it's not the proper boarding, future PM type school my mate's kids go to but I do see where people are coming from. Never considered my son could grow up to be some kind of snob though haha.

Still not booked the Greece hol, need to by end of the week. Will post the costing over the next few days when I'm not so whacked - in a weird way the extra planning has appealed to my obsessive side, sort of enjoyed it and really thinking our time there through not just meeting our target budget for it but planning the whole 2 weeks out. Hoping I won't find all that time away too much planning what we're doing has eased my stress levels over being away for so long a bit tbh.

Glad we've not lost our JL in Nottingham though may have been better for me if I had idk.

Also v pleased about our JL, as I'd have missed that big-time.

I don't think anyone was suggesting you son will grow up to be a snob but it certainly won't do him any harm to mix with children from different backgrounds and income levels.
If you were up early and had a busy day then being tired is quite normal. Don't worry.

We were in bed at 9pm last night!

If you are tired don't fight it. Go to bed.

Hey mate, I have finally managed to catch up with your last few posts. Fantastic achievement on the 63 days, also from your posts its certainly evident how much more positive and level headed you are right now. Lockdown certainly seems to have helped you in some senses and I kinda did a bit of a look back on how lock down has impacted me as well. Obviously the massive amount of deaths and loved ones lost due to this is staggering its a figure that is shocking, but that aside lockdown came at a time for me when I was struggling massively with who I was becoming as a person as strange as that sounds! I wasn't the Dad / Partner that I wanted to be and wasn't liking the person I was becoming and lockdown gave me plenty of time to do some self reflection so in that way it has helped massively as I can certainly say I am in a better place now. I am looking forward to getting some normality back and whilst I am not a massive drinker/social person I am looking forward to a catch up with the lads, but part of me is also worried about the sudden opening up of things and the instinct to spend again. I think myself and you both hope that the habits and money control we have learnt in lockdown sticks!!

Anyways....you are doing brilliant despite the odd few hiccups. Keep going Alt

There is some suggestion that sleeping 2 x 4 hours a day may be more beneficial than 1 x 8.  I used to stress about not sleeping - then realised I didn't need it.  Apparently Samuel Pepys used to sleep for 4 hours, then go out to a London coffee shop for a couple of hours before returning to bed for another 4 hours!  I now have 4 hours of sleep, then find myself awake for a couple of hours before drifting off again for a couple of hours before waking up at anything after 05:00.  Whilst I'm a lark, my husband is an owl and never goes to bed much before 02:00.  The dog likes the constant company.....
