I'm 25 living with parents and I've demanded we do a sunflower contest this year - inspired by the original suggestion on this diary!7

Those sunflowers are huge SA. Just been on Nestle site to get the free seeds to do with my granddaughters so thanks for tip whoever put that up.
@alt80 Hope you have a good day today and glad to see you are eating better and your wife is getting on board with the plan. I expect your son is looking forward to getting back to school today. We just have the littlest granddaughter today as the older one back to school. Continuing with potty training today for the youngest is our task 😱😱I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Happy Monday
Not had the best nights sleep but not the worst should be able to get through the day. Week planned out but wife wants me to take a couple of days off next week might do that tbh I’m really run down generally. Son very excited to be going back to school, wife and I going to take him. Cottage pie and extra veg tonight. Upper body and a dog walk for the exercise.
@Sun_Addict those sun flowers are amazing not sure I’ve ever seen ones as tall tbh 😆
@ladyholly 😆 re RS dog.
Ran out of the herbal but you’ve reminded me I did mean to get some more.
@enthusiasticsaver FML have fun with that lol.

Really weird thought eating my lunch - had a revelation that my personal finances aren’t really in dire straits. I’m not spending more than earning. Debts going down without refinancing assets. Business going well everything picking up - people seeing an end in sight with lockdown. Things are actually pretty good. Just need to stay on the straight and narrow post lockdown. Even looking forward to my wedding anniversary night away, hotel looks good and it’s budgeted for. Fml actually don’t recognise myself. 😆
Managed to have a laugh with sis about money for prob first time ever. Sent her a message from site basically saying WTAF did we choose to work in property lol. She sent me back a message only !!!!!! way I’m earning what I do. So much for you can be whatever you want to be in this world probably true tbf, made me laugh anyway.@getmore4less haha one good thing might come of those bbqs. Though having the weather for them in first place seems a lifetime away right now.12 -

Eating lunch are you not well.
Glad to see you are catching on.
I recall the start of lockdown then last April through May the weather being pretty good a lot of the time we were rucksack shopping regularly as it was 30min walk each way, gave a walk purpose.
I can see a BBQ in your near future

Good you are starting to realise you have it pretty good. Finances under control, successful business, family and now a nice evening away to look forward to. Just need to stop feeling absolutely whacked and get some kind of decent sleep routine lol. Still can't make my mind up whether to have the scan or not main thing stopping me is it affects the budget if I do and also point about what would I do with info anyway is a good one idk really. Looking for a miracle fix probably - brain transplant ha might be only thing to sort me. Suppose really I want to go get the scan and them say no damage mate, all brain cells intact and heart as strong as it was at 18, going to live as long as all the saints - get on with life. Stupid but I lie awake at night thinking about it now, can't turn the clock back as much as I wish I could for all sorts of reasons. No idea why I care so !!!!!! much about it after this long. Def something not right with me today though - avoided a couple of Costas, a Maccys and a few independents to go home and make my own lunch, personally poorer for doing so though haha FML.
Starting to sink in I've made it through the nightmare block and not very long before I'm off the scutter rates for the res portfolio. Worked out if I get on could be looking at !!!!!! the PGs off on the res portfolio in 5 years if I don't significantly add units. Be nice to get and keep it there, would help my stress levels tbh. In part think just get as many units as possible live with the PGs forevermore but tbh I would like to get them off - becoming some kind of risk adverse saint ha.
Sounds ridiculous to most I'm sure as it probably doesn't look that great to a lot right now but my financial position has probably never looked this good really and with a decent plan moving forwards. Business looking better than it has in years too if I'm honest. Never been bad just I wasn't actively moving forwards either. I've put a lot into trying to sort myself out tbh knew I couldn't carry going down the road I was going. Still have mixed feelings on it, wife sent me some 'great deal' on a jacket she'd like to buy £749 down from £1.3k. Quite liberating to tell her yeah buy it if she wants but not changing the £1k overall spend on her clothes until the end of the year rather than just buying the stuff for her in case she !!!!!! off with someone else who will. If she does she does not sure another Balmain in the wardrobe going to stop her really.
