Accident advice on motorway roundabout

  • Having read all the replies it amazes me that people still have these type of prangs, just because the road markings say you are in the 'correct' lane for your destination does not mean it's 100% safe to use it, can't do anything about others making mistakes but you can definitely avoid them yourself. Just the other day I was pulling out of a junction onto a busy main road (this junction where I live is a nightmare to get out of) and a van was indicating left to turn into where I was exiting potentially giving me the 'green light' to go.

I didn't go (biker in me) and sure enough they sailed right past, it happens regularly I would think BUT another all too common imo potential prang avoided. I don't trust ANYONE on the road and if someone makes a mistake in front of, at the side or behind me and I can avoid either them hitting me or me hitting them that's the option I choose.

The only thing I trust is that someone is very likely to do something silly.  It's anotther reason I would have been in the nearside lane.
