Thanks, where is the blue txt template?😬 sorry i cant find it,
We assume you have now found the NEWBIES thread and have sent the template appeal?

And have also done 'PLAN A' which is FAR more likely to work?   Not 'appeal'.

DO NOT WAIT AND SEE HOW THE APPEAL GOES...IT WILL BE REJECTED.  DO THE COMPLAINT EXPLAINED IN THE NEWBIES.

AND - please now make a real difference - A TASK FOR SEPTEMBER.

The Government is (this month only) consulting about a new statutory code of practice (CoP) and framework to rein in the rogue parking firms.  Read and comment on the draft CoP proposal and the enforcement framework consultation, and get everyone you know to do the same.

You will need to register to comment on the CoP and enter an occupation even if you are retired or a homemaker, but otherwise it is easy to navigate, and comment upon each section/subsection individually. You can save comments to edit later and or submit comments once you are happy with them.

    https://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/projects/2020-00193#/section

You do not need to register to comment on the enforcement framework which can be found here. It has a link on page 5 to make comments.

    https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/913272/Code_Enforcement_Framework_consultation.pdf

At the very least, we say the parking charge level should be £50/£25 or higher level £70/£35, as per Council PCNs in E&W.

And we say the added fake 'debt recovery' costs are just double counting the cost of letters, and MUST GO because that is unfair and illegal.

Please be heard.  You can bet the hundreds of PPCs will be commenting.

No apologies for repeating this vital 'call for action' to consumers, on every thread this month!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi All,
I appealed to UKPC on being 20 mins late on parking due to covid delays. They rejected the appeal due to the fact there are sufficent signs in forbury retail park reading that you can only park for 3 hours. They have sent me a POPLA referance to make an appeal to them. Advice and good appealing arguments would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

????? Do you mean it was different to the issue that you first posted about but in the same car park?  Are there now two PCNs in play?

There are, (I live in Reading), but delays caused by covid should normally be accepted as valid mitigation. , I am sure that a judge/RBC would agree, he/she might also find the ticket to be unreasonable, see CPR27.14(2)(g)..

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • le kirk- I was given advice  to check with DVLA to check that UKPC has not sent me a new ticket based on the old ticket which was"left site" a while back they sent me a lot of harassing letters but then stopped. Which they could not prove I left site so end of matter

You do not understand ...... go back a few posts and it was explained that on the same site you received a ticket stating "driver left site".   Via the email letter I sent you, they did not persue because they had no proof.

At that stage that had obtained your details from the DVLA and that means they paid the DVLA to get the info.
Now you have a second ticket in the same retail park.  The point of this is to establish .... did they use the info obtained on the first ticket for the second ticket or, on the second ticket did they pay the DVLA to get your info again ...... THEY MUST DO THIS.
The DVLA will tell you who and the dates your info was requested.  IT IS IMPORTANT
