I'm not going to bother deconstructing your posts any more; you're selectively quoting me and ignoring the point, which is that you were wrong to suggest that it was somehow against the rules and you're obviously clutching at straws. What your debit card and PIN number have to do with anything, God only knows.

The terms do not forbid it, and it works. If you can't concede that you were wrong that is a reflection on you.

Did you apply for it while logged in or did you provide a new username during sign up (like a new customer)?

I think I used my current username ..although when logged in it times out fairly quick and Im not sure if that happens during a application .

Whatever nothing is showing online so I guess its opened as new customer ?

How many of these SS do they say you can have or are supposed to have as I upgraded my three accounts in feb21 to spend and save .

If you apply for a current account as a new customer you're asked to choose a username during sign up. In my experience, if you signed up as a new customer but actually had existing accounts, the new account would merge in to the old account a few days after you log in to the new one.

There is no stated maximum number of accounts.

My experience of applying for a new accounts as an existing user, one new account is stuck with it's own (new) username, second new account automatically merged into my existing online login.

I seemingly got around that by upgrading to S+S Plus and downgrading back to S+S,

Is it possible to do that quickly enough that they don't charge you for S+S Plus?
And would it then renew the 6 months £5 for 30 transactions?

Due to the extremely high number of 1p debit card transactions that I transact every month, I am keen to get them out of the way early in the month, the first upgrade that I did after I had done 30 debit card transaction, I realised "maybe" should have waited until after last £5 payment was made for S+S 8th/9th  (it may not have made any difference)  before upgrading,
For caution I downgraded back to S+S and following day last £5 was paid, I then upgraded again did not do another 30 transactions £5 was paid for S+S Plus 8th/9th following month less fee taken on 2nd which indicates can do 30 debit card transactions and then upgrade very late in month to incur extremely low prorata fee.
After a certain number of current accounts have been opened sometimes Banks ( happened when I opened Halifax U.R account dont issue debit card, seems to me the last TSB S+S account that I opened that merged into existing profile ( previous 2 accouts that I opened before that during April have not been merged) debit card was issued and then blocked which I got around by doing what I said that you have quoted.

Someone previously mentioned that on downgrading back to S+S automatic adjustment refunds fee paid having upgraded previous month
02 Jun 2021    MONTHLY ACCOUNT FEE    FEE                   1.46 (Out)
15 Jun 2021    MONTHLY ACCOUNT FEE ADJ    ADJ    1.46 (In)

I think you should just accept the risk that there might be up to £3 to pay in fees - as I can't find anything in the terms to support that those fees will be refunded in all circumstances (unlike getting the cashback payments for moving from S&S Plus to S&S - which definitively is covered by the terms, so you would have cause for complaint if you don't get it).
