    Sorry KP !

  • You ned to read up on what happens next, so you expect documents and if they dont turn up you chase.
If you sit back and are passive, and one piece of post goes missing, you lose.

I have now received an email from Gladstones with info for Directions Questionnaire.  Have not received this from court yet but it has been recently.  Gladstones email advises that they are seeking mediation - advise on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

And you won't be surprised to hear that that advice is freely available in the NEWBIES thread.  :)

Read Bargepole's 'what happens when' post linked from the second post of the NEWBIES thread.

    Reading it now ..
Why do they even ask for mediation if all they intend is to still get you to pay? why not straight to court process?

As you intend to pay nothing, (unless a judge so orders it), mediation is pointless
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Obvious. They hold the cards in mediation, you dont. The mediator gets paid on results, and a consumer defendant is much weaker when told "youre going to lose"
    So people settle
It also removes any risk of losing at a hearing, and 80% (what they usually achieve at mediation) is better than nothing

Because they have a duty to the court to keep costs down!  In essence mediation is another avenue for the mediator (PPC) to be rude to you and tell you that you must pay.
