It will be a no spends day today.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, jacket potato for my lunch and dinner tonight is cajun salmon with tortellini and some vegetables.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- cleaning the kitchen
- walking the dog x 2

For the minute he is still working full time but that could change week on week depending on how much work they have in. To be honest him being on furlough doesn't really make much odds to us. The money that he loses from being on furlough is really mostly spent on fuel in the car getting to and from work anyway. It is a 50 mile round trip every day. When he is furloughed the car isn't using anything like as much fuel.Sarahwithlove said:It's good that you are still able to make a dent in the debts with other half on furlough. @Sarahwithlove lockdown project ha. Going to give it a go on Sunday.@RelievedSheff something !!!!!! wrong with my head feel anxious on behalf of your OH for potentially having no work haha. Get the impression he’s not that bothered about going in the first place lol.2

Don't get me wrong he loves his job, he has done the same job since he left school and has worked where he is now for 25 years. But he would rather be doing something than sat around doing nothing. He said this morning he may as well be at home doing something here because he has got hardly anything booked in to do this week. He is just driving there and back for the sake of it.alt80 said:@Sarahwithlove lockdown project ha. We are not worried about it because we know that once we get back to a bit more normality (whatever that is) people will take their cars for repairing again.2 -
Makes a bit more sense now mate. Did they find when lockdown was over the work was picking up?1

Yes it picked up and was near normal levels during the summer when there were less restrictions in place.alt80 said:Makes a bit more sense now mate. Did they find when lockdown was over the work was picking up?2 -
No worries about his job then. I’d still be anxious about no work for reasons other than money personally one lockdown more than enough for me very glad BoJo gone quiet lol.2

That's OK then. Although if he was fuloughed at least he would be around to do some odd jobs more lolRelievedSheff said:

It is a bit of a Catch 22. It is great that he is still at work but we really want to get a few more jobs ticked off the to do list at home as well.Sarahwithlove said:
