Lovely to hear from you, missed your posts. Great news about the house move, my DS was in the process of moving house but it became so stressful they decided to stay put. Hope all goes smoothly for you.

Just caught up with your diary @RelievedSheff! Never in a million years did I think you’d be posting on here saying that you were moving house. Congratulations, I’m absolutely made up for you. 

Glad to hear the van is nearly paid for - iirc you had it on a 60 month term… how the !!!!!! has almost five years passed?! Mind I said to my wife the other day something about being just about getting used to being in my 40s and she reminded me I turned 45 last month idk. Do know she’ll kill me if I start looking for a new gaff though, ha.

We had no intention of moving until a bigger house caught our attention. We were planning that our next 5 year remortgage would be our last.

As it happens the house that caught our attention wasn't the one. Too much not quite right but it got us looking and we viewed a couple more. One was right up our street but the vendor wouldn't accept our offer until we had an offer on ours which is fair enough. So we kept looking incase we lost that one and then stumbled across a better house in the next village which is the one we are buying now.

Never did we think a house like this one would be within our budget if I'm honest.

The other half is happy, he has a big double garage to tinker in and we can get the van and both cars easily on the drive with room for guests to park on there as well.

I'm happy with the huge kitchen, dining living room and the massive master bedroom with en suite and dressing room. 

Just need to cross all fingers and toes it comes off now. Our buyers are coming for another look around at 1pm today and then after that we are definitely getting Christmas started 😀

Aside from houses we had a fantastic drive across Europe to Romania this autumn. It truly was a great experience. So many different things to see and do and some amazing scenery along the way.



We are busy planning next year's trip to Poland now. We both want to visit Gdansk so that's next year's destination.

Great to see you and your photos back!  Look forward to hearing your news and about your move. We’re finally moving out early next year but only to a rental so as not to lose our sale.  Many months of shenanigans but looking forward to finally finding our new home😊. Happy Christmas,🎄
