We had an absolute mare with the traffic last night. There had been a bad accident on one of the major A roads so that was shut which caused absolute chaos on alternative routes. It took us half an hour longer to get home than usual which meant we were quite late getting here last night.

We still went to the pub though and had a lovely evening with some of the locals.

This morning we were up fairly early and walked the dog before breakfast. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast this morning.

We have had the short walk into town to do a spot of shopping and pick up some nice rib eye steaks for dinner later. We forget how reasonably priced our usual farm shop is. The steaks were very expensive. They do look nice though.

Just got back on the van now to get showered and changed and ready for an afternoon out on the town 🤣🤣🤣

Can't have too much to drink though. I don't want to ruin the steaks 🙈

In better news we had a really nice weekend in Louth. It is a lovely town, very welcoming.

We are back home again now. The other half has cut the grass while I gave the van a clean inside. It's MOT and servicing day on Tuesday so it needed doing.

I have got the dogs blankets and pyjamas washed, they are on the line drying now and the van mats won't be long in the machine before they can join them on the line.

Filled up the van with diesel on the way home. Its next outing after Tuesday will be to Norfolk so have filled it up now ready. The other half will top up the gas on the way home on Tuesday.

Not got much else planned for today. Will take the dog out somewhere for a decent walk I think when the other half gets back from the shops.

Suppose I should prep dinner as well. Its roast chicken today.

Just caught up with your diary, some great photos as always. That’s really sad to read about the cyclist there really are some !!!!!! about. Absolutely brilliant to read where you are financially now. Reminder that I really !!!!!! do need to get on a diet, my wife and I are really indulging far too much in nice food. She is fit and disciplined enough that she can cut although the pair of us rn could probably do with a bit of motivation. Her dad keeps saying that happy couples get fat together winding her up lol.
