That’s a nice Christmas surprise for you all. We got our pay rise backdated to June in last month’s pay which was very welcome at this time of year. Have you had your hamper from them this year?

    Totals looking brilliant.
They have stopped doing hampers again in favour of a Christmas party.

It's been a busy day today.

Started with coffee, toast and a dog walk, then I brought the Christmas food in from the garage freezer. The other half changed the gas burner on the van fridge, then we took the car for a valet and had a walk around town.

Finally we had a drive out to Matlock Bath for fish and chips qnd a couple of beers.

Just arrived back home. Checked the van fridge is working again, thankfully it is, taken the dog around the block and now time to sit down and relax.

The weather has just started to get windy here. We are getting the odd strong gust.

We don't have a great deal planned for today with the terrible weather forecast.

Just got up and got the turkey out of the freezer and the cheeses we have been collecting on our travels throughout the year. We have quite the cheese board this year with cheeses from Hawes, Cheddar, The Isle of Wight and France.

Going to take the dog for a walk shortly before the wind gets up then back here for breakfast. Just beans on toast this morning.

Guess we will head out somewhere for a walk at lunchtime if the weather isn't too bad.

The other half has a couple of presents left to wrap and the dog is having his Christmas bath today so that will sort those too out for the afternoon.

Not doing a full on roast dinner today if I'm doing one on Wednesday. Going to do slow cooked beef shin in Yorkshire pudding instead with some mustard mash and greens.

Do they have Christmas lights along the river at Matlock Bath RS? I know they have the lights at October half term. We might have a ride out over Christmas if they do. The fish and chips will be a nice break from turkey.
Have a lovely Christmas and hope the dog doesn’t get to the presents before you do 🎅🏼🎄😂

They had loads of Christmas lights up. It was lovely.

They have a raft race on Boxing Day. Thinking we might head over to watch that.

My first day off work and it's going to be a busy one.

Already got the cooker hood filters in the dish washer and a load of towels in the washer dryer and given the bathrooms a good scrub.

Next up it's sticking the hob burners and pan stands in the dishwasher, a load of clothes on a quick wash, putting away the first of the home shopping deliveries, giving the van a good clean and getting the fresh bedding back on and then it might be time to have a sit down and a coffee.

Must remember to take the dog out for a walk at lunchtime and I've got a lasagne to make for tonight's dinner at some point.

Setting myself up for a quieter day tomorrow though.

Knew you’d have plenty of food in the fridge, ha. We’ve come back home and will be battling Sainsbury’s later lol.

    Have a good Christmas.

Glad we have not had to go near a supermarket this last few days. The queues to get into the car parks were mad here at the weekend!

We have quote the feast this year with stuff we have picked up while we have been out on our travels.

Cheese board tonight made up with the cheeses we have bought in Hawes, Cheddar, Isle of Wight and France. 😀
