Another cold start to the day this morning.
£393 sent to the motorhome loan today. That takes the total owed below £7k. Won't be too long before we are into the last 12 months of that agreement. Where has the time gone?
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is Lincolnshire sausage with mustard mash and greens.

The car didn't cost as much as expected. The brake pads didn't need doing they just had a bit of grit behind them which was grinding, so he has cleaned that out and they are good for another year.alt80 said:Hope they don’t find anything unexpected on the MOT. I cannot believe how expensive car insurance is these days.I didn’t realise that I didn’t respond to your reply to me but ikwyacf, it is often hard for me to see the positive to being here but I’ve had a few reminders lately that life is what you make it. Would be enhanced by getting a proper nights sleep in my case ha but can’t have everything lol. You have the right attitude, 100%.Your dog is about as daft as ours!2 -
Some good news there. You’ll have the motor home paid for before you know it. Imo you’ve had really good value from it already. I assume you are going to keep it or are you going to have a new one at the end of the term?1

Not got any plans to get rid of this one. It suits us so don't really see the point in spending a lot of money to get something a little bit newer.alt80 said:Some good news there. We will put the extra money towards the mortgage instead. Get that paid off quicker. Plan is that the next remortgage will be the last one and we will pay off the mortgage in the 5 years.
Might think about a newer van then.1 -
Those figures are coming down nicely 👏👏January spends - £587.581

@RelievedSheff - motorhomes are designed for long use - yours is barely run in! Just remember they are built on a white van chassis which get constant daily use unlike motorhomes that get used for a few weeks a year and several weekends. Admittedly you use yours a lot more weekends than a lot of people as do we.
Our van is currently 21 years old and we've got no plans to get rid of it - it's only done about 80K miles! They're designed to do at least 150K miles!

We have no plans to get rid of it yet but we know that the layout won't suit us forever. Climbing up and down onto the bed is fine for us now but it won't be when we get older!joedenise said:@RelievedSheff - motorhomes are designed for long use - yours is barely run in! Don't you believe it! DH and I have a bed over a garage so have to climb up and down a ladder to get in and out and we're both in our 70s. We had friends in their 80s who had a very old van with the hump over the front and used to use that so it's still possible to use ladders to get into bed. Hopefully you'll be able to carry on with the van you've got!RelievedSheff said:

Well done on the maintained weight loss - it's always good after eating out and drinking!
