It's like the calm before the storm in our house at the minute. Just waiting on our friends arriving and the mayhem to set in.

Been out for a couple of walks with the dog and had breakfast.

When our friends arrive we are heading out to the local pub for a few beers. Will make sure we get back before dark and the fireworks start again for the dog 🙄

Not cooking tonight. We are going to order in a takeaway curry. Not had one for ages.

@RelievedSheff I always enjoy your diary.  Do have plans for the money freed up once your credit card is paid off? Might you pay off the motorhome more quickly? Your trips always look fab love Humdinger xx

The money from the van is going to the mortgage to pay that off quicker.

Think the money from the card payments will just go into savings. No point paying off the motorhome loan quicker, it's a fixed amount to be paid back.

Well that was a great weekend.

Just packed our friends off home and chilling out. The dog is sulking he wants them back I think 🤣🤣🤣

We had a surprise meet up with some other old boating friends as well which was nice. Not seen them for ages. Was good to have a catch up and a curry with them.

Considering we had nothing planned today its been a busy day. Lots of dog walks, a full monty breakfast, coffee at a friend's house, more walks in the woods and now back home. I think we will all sleep well tonight.

I've got some ox tail in the slow cooker for dinner later. Will serve that in a Yorkshire pudding with mustard mash and greens.

How has it gotten around to being Monday again already?

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is loch trout with rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
    • load of washing

Ha definitely agree re Monday coming around quickly. You’ve got some good plans ahead, always like to read how you’re making the most of your weekends though I think there’s a lot many of us could take from your attitude to money/ life.

    Thanks Alt.

We were at a family funeral yesterday afternoon and it really hit home for us that we need to enjoy life while we can, but within our means of course. Although she lived to an old age there was much she wanted to see and do but never did or could due to failing health.

We don't want to be in that situation.
