We didn't get the monopoly out in the end. We went to the garden centre and the pub for a couple of pints instead. The pub was randomly really busy so we didn't stay for very long to free up the table for diners.
Back to work today. Despite not having done much the weekend has flown by.

Wish the weather would make it's mind up. We have milder but heavy rain this morning. Didn't make for a nice dog walk this morning or a nice drive into work.

Not sure what Sheffield council are up too but there are roads closed everywhere on our route into work this week. You follow the diversion routes and they send you to more closed roads. Very frustrating. It took us an hour and a half to get home last night!!

It's Friday and it's pay day. It's also money shuffle day. £200 sent to the savings account, £100 sent to the ISA and £100 sent to the Premium Bonds account. I have also replaced the money that was borrowed from the savings account to pay the car insurance and the MOT bill.

No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. It's a night on the sofa watching a film.0 -
The money I sent back to the savings account has come back out again.
I got some extra discount codes from Le Shuttle today so coupled with our Tesco Clubcard Points I got a price I couldn't let go for the train for next year's European road trip. Under £200 including the dog charges which was almost half the full price. So that is now booked.
And I got some extra discount codes for the van sat nav we have had our eye on. So got that for well under the RRP with some freebies thrown in, so couldn't really turn that down either.
Not planned purchases today but at least we had the money there for them and we got some bargain prices 🙄5 -
Sounds very money saving though. Sometimes you have to grab these deals while they’re on.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

As you say, not planned purchases for today but were planned and as you were able to pay with your money and not the banks as well as making good savings it seems very sensible to me. You wouldn't earn the equivalent amount of interest as you have saved if you had put off buying to later.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
