Just you two this year? We’re having a quiet one again. We’re waiting until we get back from holiday to start anything to do with Christmas though. My wife used to be mad for it and it’d start as soon as summer ended but nowadays she’s not so bothered apart from threatening to book Lapland again ha.

Struggling with these dark mornings. Could really have stayed in bed this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is lightly smoked salmon fillets with French style lentils and greens.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • loading a few things onto the van for the weekend
We had a nightmare with the TV last night. We don't watch much TV but it has been playing up since it did a software update when we got back off holiday. It finally did another software update last night and hopefully now it will be working properly.

Midweek again. This week seems to be flying by.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is spag bol and garlic bread.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weigh in Wednesday
    • cleaning the kitchen
I think I will make the mash topping for Friday nights Shepherd's pie as well tonight. Save myself a job tomorrow night when we will be busier.

I have booked our last minute Christmas grocery shop slot. There won't be much on it just a few fresh bits which saves us having to go anywhere near the shops ourselves in the last few days before Christmas!

As the clocks go back this weekend, am sure the Christmas adverts on TV will begin and then it’s full steam ahead to the Big Day, so well done on booking your grocery slot. I’m determined to have all Xmas pressies sorted by the 1st of Dec. Then just food bits to get which I will during the weeks leading up to it as I hate going the few days before Xmas. Think that’s due to me working for 15 years in a supermarket and always worked up to Xmas and New Year’s Eve. X

A quarter pound loss this week.

Not huge but in the right direction at least.

Any loss is a good loss - you're right that it's in the right direction, so well done.
