It has been a brilliant weekend. None stop fun from start to finish.
We are all shattered. We have walked miles, visited pubs, restaurants and clubs. We found a brilliant karaoke bar which we will definitely revisit again.
No rush off today. We are booked into a pub at 3pm for Sunday dinner.2 -
Sounds like you’ve had a brilliant time. Great that you’ve had good weather for it too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I can’t quite decide if you wrote that on the way home or not, on one hand the prose seems a bit too coherent but on the other the time looks about right. !!!!!! fair play to you.1

We have just got back home. It has been a great weekend. We are all shattered. The dog has gone straight to bed.
Don't think we will be late in bed tonight!
It was a bit chilly when we got home so we have stuck the heating on for the first time this year.
Dinner at The Dambusters Inn, Scampton was lovely. Its a really nice pub. Will definitely go back there again.

Back to work for a rest
Energy bill payment has come out today. Glad we have got plenty of credit built up there for the winter months. It was chilly when we got home yesterday and we were glad that the house warms up very quickly.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon with noodles and stir fried vegetables.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- weekly shop
- feeding the Christmas cakes
- must water the house plants as well.

Had to drag myself out of bed this morning. Think I might be coming down with a bit of a cold. Hopefully it will be short lived.

We had a face to face team meeting with colleagues from Scotland last week, one by one people are going down with colds. It's that time of year. Hope you feel better soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

You are lucky with the new build in terms of heat retention (and bills too). Our new place is a Victorian villa but has had a tonne of money spent on energy efficiency measures, I’m anticipating a massive difference to this place. Never have lived in a warm house so it’s a novelty I am very much looking forward to.
100% the time of the year re colds/flu, all three of us are a bit under the weather rn, nothing terrible.

Not a great start to the day. I felt really ill when I got up so the other half suggested I should take a covid test and low and behold it was positive.
He is still negative so has gone to work.
So I have a few days at home with the dog.
Have sent an email to work letting them know.
Hopefully it will be brief and not too harsh.1
