Are the roadworks on the M1 affecting your commute? I went up to Sheffield yesterday and the traffic was quite bad due to the roadworks. I wouldn't have let word get out re the Christmas cakes, made a rod for your own back there. One of my staff is a bit of a baker, like to bring things into the office but only on her terms. I did wonder if you still had the Sierra or not, cars of that era seem to be continually rising in value.
The Sheffield Council have closed a load of roads to traffic which has forced everyone onto the main roads which now can't take the volume of traffic. Its absolutely stupid.

    Mid working week already!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was toasted bagel, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is stuffed chicken with rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the kitchen
We are now finished with the cake baking. We have decided that Sundays will be the day for feeding them more rum each week.

@RelievedSheff I was surprised when you said it was going to be celebrating its 40th birthday soon idk why, they stopped building them when I was a kid ha. Our old MG will be 60 years old in a couple of years.

Is it a permanent change to the roads in Sheffield? I hope not for you. When I say I went to Sheffield the other day, it wasn't the city centre but the roadworks on the M1 were causing some delays.

You going to be feeding rum to those cakes until December ha?

Sheffield roads have been getting worse for years and the council just keep making decisions to exacerbate just how bad it is…. It’s almost like they want to keep people out of Sheffield.

The cakes will be fed once a week until they are delivered to their new homes :)

The current council have got to go. They are making all of the wrong decisions for the city.

Where are you off to this weekend?

We're currently waiting for a fridge engineer to install our new fridge, he's on his way but has been held up by traffic!  Think the traffic is just as bad wherever you live.  He was due here at 9am but text around 8.30 to say he hoped to make it by 9.45!  If he can get the fridge installed we've decided we're going to go to Canterbury for the weekend as it's a great place to get around to different places by bus (free of charge with our bus passes!).

Lincoln for us this weekend. Meeting up with some old boating friends.

We are going tomorrow night so the car park will be quieter and we can get a parking space easier. Made the mistake of trying to go get there Saturday morning before!!
