I had an entirely rubbish commute home last night with the motorway being screwed up for the second time in a week. It was slow coming in this morning but not as bad as it might have been allowing for the strikes possibly adding to the commuter numbers. Hopefully you'll have a better run home than you did in!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I decided to have a look back this morning and see just how much we have paid off our debts since I started this diary.enthusiasticsaver said:Credit card debt is so close to being in the £8ks now.
In total, since September 2020, we have paid off £15530 of unsecured debt and £12000 of the motorhome loan. So £27530 in three years.
It is easy to forget just how far we have come sometimes.3 -
It was windy last night. The other half had to get up and close the bedroom window in the early hours of the morning.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. It was toast for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and it is Fakeaway Friday tonight with a fake KFC of southern fried chicken thighs, chips, homemade coleslaw and corn on the cob. I reckon this will come in at a shade over £5 to feed the two of us and the dog rather than the £20 for a real one. Will be a damn sight healthier as well!!
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- load of washing
We are at home this weekend and don't really have much planned other than Christmas cake baking and having a BBQ tomorrow. Need to have a quick tidy up in the gardens again but that won't take long. Just a quick run over the grass with the mower really.1 -
That’s an amazing amount paid off, well done 👏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
