We had an almighty downpour abouts an hour ago but it's dried out now and the sun's come our. Hopefully it stays that way now.

Catering for 16 which it turns out is hard work!

We survived the family onslaught and the weather was on our side. A good time was had by all. We were all shattered by the time everyone had gone home. We just cleaned up and went to bed 🤣🤣🤣

Today will be a much quieter day. We will take the dog for a walk first. He was a good boy yesterday.

Breakfast is going to be toast, we are going to Matlock Bath for fish and chips at lunchtime and dinner later on is roast chicken with all the trimmings.

Really not much planned for today. I need to clean the can out ready for next week and the kitchen needs vacuuming but that's about the lot for today.

The dog is still tired. He has jumped on our bed, got snuggled up with his dad and gone back to sleep. Think we have worn him out.

Matlock Bath for fish and chips sounds great. Not been there for a few years, used to love going.

The chippy lunch was lovely and the dog has had his quota of watching fish. The aquarium is now dog friendly so he has been in his element today 🤣🤣🤣

Just heading for home now. Had to call to get diesel and the other half has just nipped into the shop to pick up some cordial and bread.

Got dinner to prepare when we get home then it's definitely time for a sit down and a cheeky Sunday beer or two.

I'm going to guess the dog will just crash out in his bed.

Glad you survived the Saturday BBQ.

Looks like you’ve had a good Sunday too. My boy likes going to Matlock Bath would not risk taking our dog to the aquarium though. 😆
  • Not sure what our dog would make of the aquarium, he chases rabbits, squirrels and birds but I’ve not seen him with fish yet… might have to try him haha
