You've got yourself a bargain @RelievedSheff I'm sure you'll have no problem putting it to good use. Was it from the garden centre with the koi?

Seeing your BBQ reminds me the other day my son wanted me to fire the BBQ up, it was !!!!!! freezing that day as well told him absolutely no chance before Easter.
It was the one with the koi. Dog was in his element as usual 🤣🤣🤣

We have usually had one or two bbqs a year by now. Just not been home when its landed right with the weather yet this year. Hopefully won't be long before we get it fired up.

Bar stools get delivered on Tuesday but its going to be -5 here that night so don't think it will be then 😕

Are there often big reductions there? We have thought about getting some new garden furniture but certainly not an emergency.

Ha you sound like my in-laws; they cook things on their BBQ even in the winter sometimes. Won't be happening here ha.

No don't think you'll be out then. I think we have snow forecast here Tuesday / Wednesday.

They have some big reductions on at the moment on ex display garden furniture.

They had a beautiful firepit table and chairs but it would have been too big for our garden.

Wouldn't be the first time we have bbqed in the snow 🤣🤣🤣

I have got some steak for tomorrow night's dinner so anything is possible!

Not a no spends day today. I need to go and do the shopping after work. Hopefully we can string a few no spends days together after today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. It was crumpets for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is chicken and mushroom pasta made with the leftovers from last night's roast dinner served with some extra garlicky garlic bread.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
    • putting away the shopping

I don’t think ex display would be the end of the world, only gets wrecked outside anyway. Our current furniture is about 8 years old, wasn’t cheap and past it’s best. Probably won’t tell my Mrs about the fire pit one though she’d be inviting parents from school round here for bbq. I can’t face people round my house rn.

Not going to put it past you to fire it up for the steak tomorrow then fml bbq in the snow. Although the other day I thought you’d gone vegetarian ha.

The table we bought has a very minor scratch on one of the legs and very minor damage to the mesh outer. Neither of the damaged areas you can see with where it sits on the patio. So we were more than happy with that for a £1350 saving!!

Like you say. It is only sitting in the garden in all weathers so it will pick up damage along the way with use.

It will be a no spends day today. Number 3 for March.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun salmon with spicy rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • hopefully unpacking the bar stools (which didn't arrive yesterday!)
The forecast is for light snow here today. It was bright blue sky when we set off for work but now that we are here it has clouded over and does look to be threatening some snow. Fingers crossed it isn't too heavy. I would like to get home tonight.

The roads must have been a bit icy this morning as we saw quite a few accidents on the way into work. They didn't look bad so it must have just been very patchy.
  • Fingers crossed for no snow x
