Not a Brit Stop it's a council run pilot scheme so we really don't want to complain. Don't want them to decide the scheme is not worth the hassle.

If people followed the simple rules it would work well.

We are on an aire tonight with marked our bays so we should be fine.

Absolutely agree - not many councils are making use of car parks overnight.  If you ever get down to the South, perhaps before you go across the Channel, then it's worth giving Canterbury Park and Ride a go.  The parking price of £4 a day (midnight to midnight) includes the use of the bus into Canterbury city centre so a really good cheap stop and Canterbury is a lovely place to visit.

Whereabouts were you staying last night?  And where are you going tonight.  Would be good to know some places to stay further north as we don't really know many places where we can stay for free or cheaply so tend to end up on CSs which are getting quite expensive for what they are.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

We were at Amble Braid car park the first night, Bamburgh Links car park last night and tonight we are at Eyemouth Sea Aire to deal with the tanks before we head back south again tomorrow.

We saw the carpark by the side of the castle when we visited last year. They were all taken though… it’d be a shame if they were abused and the council stop them.

We had a lovely day at Eyemouth yesterday. The weather was much better. Such a friendly place.

Payday today for both of us.

We have somehow managed a £275 underspend for December so that has gone to the savings account.

Today we are heading back south again. A free park up tonight.

Breakfast will be a bacon and egg sandwich and dinner later is pie and chips with vegetables.

We are going to take the dog on the beach again this morning before we go, if the tide is out enough. I need to pop to the shop as well before we go.

We had a lovely quiet night here. So peaceful.
  • Beautiful scenery.
It is beautiful here. We will definitely come back here when we are in the area again. Its a lovely little set up someone has made.

Nothing more than a little yard with services but so well located. A minute to the beach, a minute to a handy shop and 5 minutes into town and the harbour.

I bet it is super busy in the summer though when the sun is shining. The yard is fully booked now so must be a nightmare getting a space in the summer. It only holds 4 vans.
