Glad you decided to stay as looks a lovely stopover.  I'm sure you'll have a brilliant time tonight.

Considering we almost turned round to find somewhere else on the way in, we have really warmed too it.

It's a really odd mix of industrial and nature reserve but it somehow works well.

What a lovely place to spend New Year, don’t blame you for staying there. Do wish at times we had bought a motor home than a touring caravan. Easier to get going and parking with a motor home.  We’re not due to go away till the end of March, will be ready for it. Whereabouts in York are you staying, have stayed there once, park was nice but surrounding area wasn’t that good. Happy New Year to you and OH.xx

Are you going down past Scarborough? I saw on the news there is a walrus resting there on his trip north!

We are staying at the CAMC Rowntree Park site. Mind you we won't see the site much. It will be a drinking visit 😀

Time to head home today. We have really enjoyed this little trip and have found some lovely places.

We will have breakfast here. Scrambled eggs on toast and then head for home. It's only a couple of hours according to the sat nav.

Dinner tonight is venison and roasties.

Should be a low spends day. We just need to pick up some veggies and bread.

Unfortunately the other half is back at work tomorrow. I have the day off though to clean the van and get the Christmas decorations down.

The dog is being grumpy now. We have put Christmas away for another year 😀

Didn't seem to take as long to put away as it did to put up.

The van is back in the drive drained down as we won't use it for a while now. I will give it a good clean out tomorrow. Its ready for it. Only problem with winter trips. Everything gets so dirty!
