Looks peaceful. Don't envy the trip to Spalding though, that's a long way from here never mind where you live.

We had a nice Sunday roast out this lunchtime with the parents-in-law, usually a bit weary of pork in restaurants but didn't want the alternatives and was pleasantly surprised.

It wasn't a bad run to Spalding. 90 minutes each way. No traffic.

Looking forward to an early night tonight ready for work tomorrow. Its been a busy weekend for us all.

Not been out for a Sunday lunch for a long time. Mind you we have a freezer full of joints of meat now 🤣🤣🤣

Would take about the same time from here then, though I suppose you can quite easily get on the A1 tbf.

You've got more meat in that freezer than a restaurant so I'm not surprised you're getting through it rather than eating out.

Not a no spends day today. I have had to go and pick a few bits of veg up from the shop this morning. Nothing expensive but spends all the same.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is enchiladas made with some left over roast pork.

No real jobs to do today after work other than walking the dog. We had a quick tidy round when we got home yesterday.

Its another gloomy day here today. Hopefully the mist will lift today unlike yesterday.

It was a lovely weekend thank you.

Back to the grindstone again now.
  • Glad you had a lovely weekend but I confess being all parked up like that would definitely not be for me - makes me feel slightly claustrophobic just looking at the photo!

It doesn't really bother us. Guess we are used too it from our boating days when we were often moored on the side of another boat.

With the nets shut you really can't see the van next door.

Half way through the month already. This month is flying by.

Not a no spends day. We have filled the car up with diesel this morning. Interestingly we have noticed that a few of the petrol stations we pass in a morning have lowered the price of their diesel by a few pence in the last couple of days. Not holding our much hope it will keep going that way though.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is steak mince in gravy in a giant Yorkshire pudding with mashed potato and greens.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing (hung in the spare bathroom to dry)
The weather is vile this morning. Dark, cool and very wet. Only forecast to get worse as the day goes on. Not sounding the most pleasant of days.

The weather is really getting my family and I down. It’s always so dark in November/ December and January then we have the wholly miserable days. Don’t find these months pass as quickly either personally.

I have noticed a widening disparity between petrol and diesel prices around here. Tbh filling a car is not something that I miss plugging in at home a lot less fuss imo but compelled to look at the price from time to time. Wife thinks it’s funny when I tell her that petrol is up or down now we have a classic car that does about 2k miles a year and a lawnmower.
