The dog really enjoyed the time with his brother and brothers mum and dad are happy to have him for the night for us early next month.

Dog has had his big bowl of pasta which has calmed him down for the fireworks. He is being really good again.

We have watched both Top Guns. WOW to Maverick. Brilliant film. I could watch it again now. They really captured the first film and improved on it.

Curry is nearly ready. We are just listening to some music while the fireworks calm down.

Oh to have a spare million to put into a savings account 😆 I opened a 5% regular saver account with Principality today, can only put up to £125 a month away for a year though.
We’ve both gone for those too - it was only released late this week and I get the feeling it won’t be allowed for one!

And I can tell you, if I had a million pounds to put into a savings account it would be earning a lot more than 2%! 🤣

It will be a spendy day today. We need to go and pick the half pig up from the farm shop. We are going to go to the garden centre as well for coffee and to look at what Christmasy stuff they have this year.

First though is breakfast. Full English again this morning. Dinner later is roast pork and all the trimmings.

We will take the dog out for a good walk as well. Hopefully the fireworks are now done until New Year's Eve. The dog has done so well this year. He hasn't been too bad at all compared to previous years.

I need to clean the van ready for next weekend and the other half needs to change a bulb on the car and top up the screen wash on the car and the van.

Must clean the dogs work blanket today as well and get that dry. Managed to get our bedding washed and dried in time to put back on before bed yesterday.

Bedding and towels are the worst without the drier working!

I love looking at garden centre Christmas stuff even though it’s usually overpriced and I end up not buying anything.

There’s usually a stray firework or two round here the following day. All our pets were fine last night thankfully.

Everyone I know who’s seen Maverick loved it, not heard any bad reviews.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Definitely been a spendy day today. The garage freezer is now fully stocked up. So we won't be buying much meat for a while now.

We had a look around the garden centre and had a free coffee but we didn't buy anything this time. The dog enjoyed watching the fish.

We have also been to shed World and decided which shed we will get in the spring when the garden has dried out enough. Not cheap but we have decided to buy a good tantalised heavy duty one that will last a long time rather than buying a budget one and having to replace it in 5 years. On the plus side they will come and erect it included in the price.

Now back home. Dogs gone to bed shattered. Van is cleaned. Dinner is prepped. Time for a beer I think.

We had our shed replaced by 3 tanilized tool sheds a couple of years ago. The guys had the 3 of them them up and we’re having a cuppa in the time it would have taken Dh to find the screws 😂😂 Not cheap but worth it 👍

Monday has soon come around quick.

Not a no spends day today. I need to go to the shops after work and do the weekly shop. Shouldn't be an overly expensive one we don't need much.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is pork in black bean sauce made with some leftovers from last night's roast dinner served with noodles and spring rolls.

No jobs to do tonight. I suspect it will be an early night tonight. We have both woken up shattered this morning.

    They love seeing each other.

Hopefully he will be a good boy when he goes for a sleepover at the beginning of next month.
