Glad you've had a good time and even come in under your expected budget which is a bonus.
When's your next time away? We're going away next Friday but just for a couple of nights, really looking forward to getting away again.

Next weekend is definitely at home. We need to tidy up the gardens and give the van a good scrub.joedenise said:Glad you've had a good time and even come in under your expected budget which is a bonus.

Not sure about the week after. I'm due my hair cut on the Saturday dinnertime. Might go somewhere local after that. Will see how we feel.
Got a lot booked in on the run up to Christmas!1 -
Great that you're planning on using the van year round. It's an expensive garden ornament if not used!
We're looking to find somewhere to go for Christmas/New Year but can't find anywhere we fancy at the moment which doesn't cost an arm and a leg!

We are at home for Christmas, still not sure if we have family coming to stay or not. But between Christmas and New Year's we have a mini tour of Northumberland and the East Coast planned if the weather allows.joedenise said:Great that you're planning on using the van year round. Amble, Bamburgh, Eyemouth, Redcar and Staithes.
We always planned to use the van year round. We normally did with the boat. If anything the van is safer for winter use. No more icy slippery pontoons🙄2 -
Back to work today which has been a bit of a shock to the system. Really need to catch up with finances and other peoples diaries but that won't be a job for today.
Not a no spends day, I had to pick up a few bits from the shop this morning. Going to try and get away with not having to do a full shop this week.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast with some nice sour dough bread we brought back with us, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon wellington with vegetables.
Today's jobs are:- surviving the working day
- walking the dog
- load of washing

Hope the first day back at work wasn't too bad. I always have to have at least 2 days clear to come back down to earth before I go back to work after my holidays.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Love the photos especially the bouncy dog 😂😂
I love how big the house seems after a stint away in a caravan or in the van 👍January spends - £587.582 -
I just seem to be chasing my tail a little so far this week and not actually getting anywhere!
Anyway. Today will be a no spends day. The first in a while.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a slow cooked ox tail casserole that I chucked in the slow cooker this morning. Will have some dumplings with that I think.
No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. We are going to have a chilled out evening.
Managed to have a catch up with the finances. Card 7 is now under £12k and the total debt balance has ticked over to below £29k. So things are slowly moving in the right direction.2 -
